Happy Days Are Here Again!....April 29th to May 6th

I also enjoyed your trip report. It's so nice to read a detailed report - lets you know what to expect!

Hope I can go to Disney one day and do each park over and over. Man, I was impressed by your stamina!

Thanks for the great tips and a good look at the All Stars. We may do that one next.

DISchick,
We did not try the pal Mickey. When we were standing in line at the opening of Animal Kingdom, two women standing in front of us had them. They were telling one of the CM's what it did. It seemed sooo cool and very clever idea from those Disney marketing folks!

Patio,
I wish I could post the pictures. I do not have a website to post it on to do the links. They turned out great! I would love to do a "Dan Murphy" type thread!

BurleyGirl,
The dinosaur was $12 and the Test Track play set was $15. I thought the prices were very reasonable.

I'm glad you finding the trip report helpful! :D

Wow I got tried just reading your report. I liked every minute of it. We are going December can't wait to get back to Christmas at Disney. When I was reading your report I felt that maybe we should slow down a little and smell the roses. We have been doing other things and slowing down but when Iam alone on disney trips I kamicazee? the rides. I love doing Splash mountain four or five times in a row or tower of terror even in the 5th seat. Test Track one of my favorites. Thanks again.

I love the one thread format and wish they all were like that. I read on one place that they are sometimes split so that people will get more 'views' or participation, but several times I have been unable to locate one or more days of a report I am enjoying. Thanks for taking the time to write it.

We went to Disney in April of 2001, so I remember reading the Agony and the Ecstasy during my planning phase. Now we're going again in July and I find myself reading your most excellent post. Let me know when you're going again, and I guess we'll plan a trip for a few months afterwards!!! Thanks for the report, it sounds like you did everything right.

Your trip report was great. Good idea to write it down same day. I also enjoy the more detailed reports. I love to get all the info from these boards as I can.

Looking forward to my next Disney trip 5/04. Just me and hubby, celebrating our 25th anniversary.

Missy,
My wife and I read every word of your trip report and we tip our hats to you for having the foresight and presence of mind to keep an ongoing log of your activities while at WDW. You are absolutely right about having that as yet another reminder of what a magical time you had. There's nothing like the WDW experience. My wife and I are heading out in just over 3 weeks on our 8th trip to WDW and our 5th stay at the CBR...this time it's really special as we are going to celebrate our 25th anniversary, albeit a few weeks early. Our 19 year daughter has decided to stay at home and work during her college down time.
But I digress.

My wife and I noted that you mentioned Winn Dixie and the savings resulting from shopping there. We have traditionally used Goodings and they are a little pricer. I'm curious as to which Winn Dixie you used...is that the one in St. Cloud on the Irlo Bronson Parkway? I did a search for store locations and that's what I turned up. Also, the church you attended...is that now the closest Catholic church to WDW property. I really regret that they stopped the services on property.

Congratulations on an incredible written recreation of your experience. As the resident Disney Geek in our house it doesn't take much to get my juices flowing and your report took me up yet another notch on the anticipation/anxious scale..June 28 is departure date and we'll return on July 5. Looking forward to it, more so after your report.

Hope you can provide the information requested at your convenience.

Thanks

byarbor,

The Winn Dixie is on Apoka-Vineland about 1-2 miles (at most) north of Goodings. Before we left home I used Map Quest to print the route from ASMu to the store. It was about 5 miles in distance. I found the information about the Winn Dixie on Deb's site. (wdwig.com)

I *think* that the shrine is technically the closest to WDW. Our last trip we attended Holy Family (on Apoka-Vineland), which had a more convenient mass time for us. Holy Family is about 5 miles north of Goodings. The church does have a web site that gives directions. Both are very nice and I would recommend either.

For everyone that has enjoyed the trip reports, Thank You! :D

Missy,
Thanks for the directions and the help on the church and Winn Dixie. I really enjoyed your report and your detail. I plan to post a trip report after our return..but I'll caution you now it will not likely be as thorough or as readable as yours but I hope to have as much enthusiasm and passion communicated as you did in yours.
Thanks again.
