4 kids, 6 phases of braces (two kids had phase 1 and phase 2).

My last kid in braces had his removed today! He had some decalcification that started quite a while back. The orthodontist had showed me when a bracket was loose and he was changing it out. I panicked because I am always reminding him to brush his teeth, so I pretty much started telling him several times a night and texting him from bed (I usually go to bed before him) asking "did you brush your teeth yet?"

DD had an appointment this morning I had to take her to, so DH took my DS to his appointment so I was really worried. We used the same orthodontists for all four kids. He mentioned at a previous appointment he would probably use some bonding on my son's teeth when the braces come off. DH sent me a text that the appointment was longer than expected because they were doing the bonding today too.

Well, as soon as I got home I looked at his teeth and had a sigh of relief as they look perfect. Orthodontist commented his teeth were really nice and white too. (White like they should be not the decalcification white.)

I am happy because I was panicking to the point I was already researching the cost for cosmetic work like veneers and lumineers and they are EXPENSIVE to say the least. So expensive to the point I had stop snowballing some accounts and holding off on a couple cosmetic upgrades I want to do to my home until I found out what we were going to have to do with his teeth.

So HAPPY DANCE that there is NO COSMETIC work that I have to pay for!!!! :worship::yay::D

The braces were completely paid for in December (DD got hers off in July too). The orthodontist did not charge extra for the bonding.
