Happy Birthday to the NEW MOD!!!!

Happy late birthday! So sorry you didn't get to go to DLR! I won't get to go on mine either so DH shared his fun card with me. :goodvibes Hope your birthday was fun.

I don't really care for the sweet frosting on cakes, so on my birthday cake I have a pudding poke cake. It is cake with holes poked in the top. You pour the pudding over the top of the cake (in a pan). It goes into the holes and covers the top like frosting but so much better! :thumbsup2

Another Happy Belated Birthday!

I've found a cake to be a bit too much too, so this year I went with cupcakes. Its like being a kid again!

Hey Sherry,

If you do your trip the last 1/2 week of Sept, PPH rates are $129 std. and $189 for concierge. It would be great if you could do it!

Hey!!! Me too!!!!! Wish I could have spent today with you Sherry!!

That would have been so fun, Kerri - if it weren't for the fact that my cancellation was SO last minute! That pretty much ruled everyone out of any plans!

Happy Birthday, Newbie ;)

We :lovestruc you :D

Thanks, Emmers!:goodvibes:hug: AT least 'newbie' has a better ring to it than 'elder stateswoman' or 'the resident senior citizen on the DIS' or some horrible thing!

Hope you're having a great one!

Thank you, Jenpace - I love the Marilyn Monroe pic! The birthday was pretty okay! Could have been better - I didn't get to go to my favorite Goofy's Kitchen, of course, but GK will still be there on my next trip so I can wait!

Happy Birthday Sherry! :)

Thank you, Kayla's Mom - and thanks for always being a cool person to chat with on the DIS!:goodvibes

:thumbsup2

Since my better half got this all started - I thought I'd jump in and wish you all the best on your b-day!!!

It was very nice of your better half to start the thread (she is a sweetheart), so thank you for joining her in wishing me a Happy Birthday too, Canuck Duck!

Happy birthday!!!

Thank you, MickeyNikiNaka - and I'll always remember you for being the very first person to post on my TR - even when it had NO pictures at all! Thank you for doing that and reading through the several posts of text only (before I went back and put in the "37 Years of Pics" referred to in my signature!)!!

Happy birthday Sherry...sorry I'm a day late!!!

No problem, Reynmagsmom! Hearing Happy Birthday a day or two late is never a bad thing! I appreciate the thought! Thank you.:goodvibes

happy Belated Sherry!!!!

Thank you, Pycees312! You know, I just had to have my cable company switch the stupid DVR they were renting me, so I lost the Travel Channel Disney special that you and your family were on (and the friends who I thought initially were "TV friends":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:), which I had saved for a while. I am hoping to catch it again so I can once again save it. In the meantime, I will always continue to refer people to your awesome DLR hotel concierge photos!:goodvibes

Happy Birthday!!! *(a day late)* :)

Thank you so much, Brookies_mommy! And I CAN'T WAIT for you and your daughter to take that trip to DLR soon and report back with lots of pictures on all the great meals you had, and the experience at the BBB, as well as to post what I know will be the wonderful and fun PhotoPass pictures you will take together! I am so excited for you! Thank you for joining our little DLR community here and becomind 'addicted' like the rest of us are!:lmao:

Happy belated birthday Sherry... :cool1: Thank you for being such a wealth of knowledge and being there for us

I do hope that you get to go for your October plans.

I agree about the cake thing. I used to love cake when I was a kid, but every year as I get older I find it harder and harder to eat.

Thank you, Disneynerd420! Thank you for being such a fun and interesting addition to the DIS, my fellow Goofy's Kitchen/ESPN Zone/Taste Pilots Grill fan!!!:thumbsup2 I don't know if what I have is a wealth of knowledge so much as just a lifelong love for DLR and then gabbing about it and hoping that someone can get something out of it in the end!!:rotfl:...I am still on the fence about going to DLR in September vs. October. I have listed very valid Pros and Cons for both months in my TR. I don't want to miss the TOTP, but on the other hand, my AP is still valid in the last days of September, so it makes more financial sense to go in late September and miss the TOTP. I am so confused! If we DO end up there in September, I will definitely let you know so I can meet you and your mom and say hello!.....I appreciate a really good piece of cake every once in a great while, and the frosting is a big part of what makes it good, but as I get older I find that a little frosting goes a long way, and it gets old fast. So I can only deal with it rarely!

Happy late birthday! So sorry you didn't get to go to DLR! I won't get to go on mine either so DH shared his fun card with me. :goodvibes Hope your birthday was fun.

Thank you, Budgie - oh expert Snowball Maker!!! If my friend and I end up at DLR on her birthday for any reason this year (December 26) with the help of any extra tickets I have that I share with her, you can best believe that she WILL be sharing her Fun Card with me, seeing that she was the reason we didn't go on MY birthday!! She doesn't know she will be sharing her Fun Card with me yet, but she will find out!!:lmao:. Muahahahahahaha.......Oooh....pudding poke cake! I bet that would taste great in lemon - a lemon cake with lemon pudding! Yum!!! Or butterscotch, even... Hmmmm...Now I will be dreaming of poke cakes!

Another Happy Belated Birthday!

I've found a cake to be a bit too much too, so this year I went with cupcakes. Its like being a kid again!

Thank you, Liesel!:goodvibes You know, the funny thing is, if someone set a box of cupcakes down on a table, I would be much more tempted to scarf down a bunch of them than I would be to eat a couple of pieces of cake with really heavy, thick frosting! I LOVE cupcakes (maybe it brings me back to my days of eating Hostess cupcakes)! Strangely, I have not tried to cupcakes at DLR yet (other than the ones at Goofy's Kitchen) because I have heard that sometimes they can be kind of dry and tasteless OR too sweet and too much frosting. If they ever sell peppermint cupcakes, I will definitely try those!....And thank you for being a great contributor to the DIS - after all, you started the thought-provoking, popular and controversial thread about the Least Favorite DLR Dining Experience (was that what it was called, or was it Least Favorite DLR Restaurants?). That got everyone talking and that is what we like here - to get everyone involved!

Happy Belated Birthday Sherry! :cheer2:

Thank you so much, Seaera!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hey Sherry,

If you do your trip the last 1/2 week of Sept, PPH rates are $129 std. and $189 for concierge. It would be great if you could do it!

Naomi - you know, that is part of my dilemma. I saw those great AP rates for the end of September (even the GCH is 'only' like $219, which is GREAT for the GCH!) - in fact, they have been showing for a few weeks now and have not yet booked up. Common sense should dictate and tell me to just skip the TOTP this year and see the rest of the Halloweentime stuff in late September when the hotel rates are cheaper and my AP is still valid. However, based on my friend's foot situation (she broke her foot, which is why we didn't go to DLR on my birthday), and the schedule of a couple of other friends involved, that last week of September may not work out for them. BUT, so far, no great AP rates are showing for October, and they may NOT show if DLR is expecting lots and lots of people in October. So not only would I have to either renew the AP or get a Hopper for myself in October, but the hotels would be more $$$. As I said to Disneynerd420 above, there are pros and cons to September and October for me, and the $129 PPH rate is a definite PRO (unless something good comes out for October)!

Thank you again for starting this thread - it was a very sweet gesture and I appreciate it!!

And all of you made what could have been a lousy birthday a lot better with your kind words!! If I couldn't go to DLR, at least I could come online here and join my DIS-friends!

Happy Belated Birthday, Sherry. Too bad you didn't get to go on your actual birthday, so when you do go you have to celebrate then. :teeth:

Hey Sherry, Happy belated birthday! I hope you had a great one. I know you didn't get to go to DL, but hopefully you'll get to go soon. :goodvibes
