Happy and excited are understatements

I know how you feel! My trip is at the end of January! I got up bright and early a couple days ago to make my FP choices, as soon as my window opened.

Can you ride everything in AK? Are you staying onsite?

We found making FP's for AK really easy.

Tier one:

Flight of Passage

Tier two:

Everest

Safari

Done!

Everything else can be managed without a FP (though Navi River Journey might require we show up at rope drop). We've also booked ourselves a Rivers of Light Dining Package (not that you necessarily need it, but it's an excuse for a sit down meal).

The only minor difficulty we had was with our first day at Disney. Even though I got on the computer as soon as I could, all the morning FPs for Flight of Passage were already gone. But, there were plenty of evening ones left, so I just booked all our FPs for that evening. We'll go to Epcot in the morning and enjoy AK at night.

We had no trouble getting morning FPs at AK later in our trip (8 days).

I am not riding EE but dh is I talked about going on with him in a previous thread but it’s not worth the anxiety for me

Woo hoo! I'm feeling excited just reading about your upcoming trip. Have a great time!

Well then, just pick Safari, FoP, and then choose whichever of these most appeals for your 3rd FP...

Lines can be long for Adventurers Outpost meet-and-greet, so that might be a decent use of your remaining FP. Or Rivers of Light (saving yourself the cost of a dinner package). Or even the Festival of the Lion King (though there's generally always ample seating).

We were there from Nov 2 - 11 and hit AK twice. First time we walked on Safari at RD, FP+ for FoP, EE then Dinosaur. Second time the same except for Na'vi in the place of FoP.

I'm personally hopeful that the Safari will be easier to get on in the mornings, now that Avatar is drawing people away. Last year, we were a little slow getting out of our breakfast and ended up in the middle of the morning rope drop pack, instead of at the front. The number of fastpass returns on Safari, first thing, was really astonishing. They seemed to be just flooding in. Our line slowed right to a crawl and it took us 40 minutes to get on. :faint:

I've got my fingers crossed that all those people will now be heading to the Avatar rides instead!

Little nervous nobody in my family has time to talk Disney with me with the exception of dh so my plan is to book everyone on everything fp wise
unless that makes me a total jerk

And remove people as they bow out of the ride I know they can’t think Disney all the time like I can but I don’t want to take fp from
Other families either

Btw I have 9 days to decide on fop I don’t do heights

I just hit my 60 days this morning! I got my FOP fastpass, and got a fast pass for Na'vi early a following morning. Figured I would swing over to AK ride that and park hop to another park that I still have stuff I want to do in. I still have a few open days I haven't set fast passes for, but I definitely got my AK days locked in to get those hard to get fast passes!

I don’t think it will make you a jerk at all. I would try to get the FOP if you can, even if you’re not sure yet about riding it. You can always cancel later and the FP will either become available to other people, or the standby line will benefit. Either way, the seats don’t go to waste.

I made 2 FoP FP for DH and myself on 2 different days (60 day window opened yesterday)
For the popular FP I always go right to the day I want to schedule-make the hard to get FP-then go back after to day 1 and fill in the rest thru remainder of trip. We wanted FoP for day 3-so when the window opened I went to that day-got FoP. Then went to day 6 which is the next day we plan visit AK and got FoP.
Did the same type of thing for SDMT. Then I went back in to other days and filled in everything else!

Should I buy to for one day one park

It's really up to you.

We routinely plan at least 2 trips a year to Disney, so - for us - annual passes make good sense, financially-speaking. They include park hopping, and I find I really appreciate having that flexibility on a long trip.

However, if you're planning to stick to one park per day, and you'll only be making one visit in the year, then single-park tickets can be a good deal. You can leave and re-enter the park on the same ticket, so you can enjoy both the morning and the evening events, while still taking a mid-day break. And if you decide you're done with the park for the day, you can always head over to Disney Springs for shopping and dining, or take in some of the activities at your resort (like the pool, or an evening movie).

There's no wrong choice here. :)

(Edited to add: I'm sure you already know this, but you can't use a one-day ticket to enter one park, and then try to use a different one-day ticket to enter another on the same day. Once they have you in their system, you're locked into that park. If you try to enter another park, even if you have more one-day tickets in your account, they'll direct you to the ticket kiosk and tell you to upgrade.)

Sorry I meant trip planer

Feeling your excitement! 33 days until I start on an epic Disney adventure with my older son. 2 nights at All-Star Sports, 3 night Disney Dream Cruise to the Bahamas, 6 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter. All ADRs/FPs done... now just the waiting. And as Tome Petty said, "The Waiting is the hardest part."

1. Fast pass. If you plan on going to AK 2 times or more, when FP window opens, make the FoP FP 1st for each day. Then go for the other hard to get FPs,Frozen in Epcot and Mine train at MK. Then go back to get FP for the rest of your park days. A Disser taught me that.

2. I bought Touring Plans to play around with Park schedule, and see views of Resort rooms. They will also fax your request to reservations.

Have a great time!
