I think I remember my 21st, I got stopped for carrying a mug of soda out of the bar.
Free mugs on your b-day but I can NOT drink beer, so I didn't feel the need to finish before moving on, but I guess they did.
Of course, I was "legal" at 19, good for the dance floors.
