Happiest Haunts tour fireworks

When we did it, it was on the sidewalk by where the omnibus horse trolleys stop. To the left of the hub walkway area directly in front of the castle.

Kind of where the black X is:

Was that a frustrating spot at all? Just because of the constant foot traffic throughout the fireworks right in front of that area?
Did you find the whole thing worth it?

When the tour says that it comes with a lightning lane entry is it safe to say they mean the Haunted Mansion or is it a choice of any?

No, we didn’t find it frustrating. The hub road was filled with people already, so the foot traffic was removed a bit. Here’s a pic:

I found it worth it (we generally don’t like to wait to get a good fireworks view). But it sounds like they might not be in front of the castle this year? If so, I don’t think I’d find it worth it. I don’t remember about the LL, sorry.

Last year, it was Pirates of the Caribbean. Haven't heard what it is this year, but I would not take it to mean Haunted Mansion Holiday or a multi-experience pass. In 2023, they just took us through the back entrance of Pirates and put our entire group on a boat together. It was not a lightning lane or pass. We just rode it together at the end of the tour.

(I cynically joked with a tour guide that it was because they wanted to make sure we bought Genie+ to get into HMH, and he didn't argue with me. But now that Pirates has a lightning lane, I don't know what it's like this year.)

I did it on Saturday. We were at the small world viewing area.
Oh no! I just booked this tour and admit that I think I will be disappointed if this is the new viewing spot for this tour. Did you still find the tour worth it/did you think that was an ok spot for the fireworks viewing?

Its probably the only night Ill get to see the show so I want to see the whole thing and IIRC the view from Small World is like a side view right?

Oooh, I'm glad I didn't book this now. I would be disappointed if we were in front of IASW instead of in front of the castle for fireworks.

It would be worth the premium in front of the castle, but it's super easy to get a spot in front of IASW with little to no wait so isn't really a draw of taking time to do the tour.

Update on the location for the reserved fireworks viewing area for this tour!

I just got back from my trip to Disneyland. I had cancelled my reservation for this tour because of the news of the fireworks spot being moved to small world. I hadn't received my refund yet so I stopped by the Tour booth and the worker told me they have actually moved the fireworks viewing area back to in front of the castle recently because of the negative feedback from other tour attendees. Just wanted ya'll to know in case you get a chance to do this tour - I would have kept my reservation if I had known.

We went Oct 10th. Small World was closed due to the Holiday overlay so no viewing from that area. Our viewing was for projections / Zero only, because it was on a Thursday. Luckily we knew that when we went that there would be no fireworks that night. Our viewing area was in front of Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, in a roped off area. We were allowed to sit on the ground before it started and then everyone stood up for the projections. The Tour was lots of fun. Our CM Tour Guide was the best !

Apparently, they're all over the place....we went on Oct 28th, and were set up in front of Jolly's, by the entrance/exit from Adventureland.

We were also VERY VERY disappointed in the tour itself.

I possibly would have considered doing this. But we ended up with a spot on Main Street in front of Candy Palace and it was perfect

Sorry you were disappointed in the tour. I had my 2 Granddaughters 15 & 17. They really wanted to do it. Our tour guide was so fun that she really made the tour enjoyable. The tour was pretty basic information. I've heard not all CM have been engaging during the tour. At this time its one and done for us. We're still waiting on the collectible pin.
