I just stopped by the NYC WOD store and they had 4 videos about "The Happiest Celebration on Earth". There is one video for each theme park. I bought the MK one, but haven't watched it yet, since I am still at work. It looks like it might be fun for anyone needing that WDW fix (me in a BIG way! :earboy2: ). They are selling them for $19.95 each. If they are good, I might just have to pick up the other 3.

Has anyone seen these? Are they more marketing material (which isn't bad necessarily)?

Below is the text from the back.

Hop aboard the WALT DISNEY WORLD Railroad with Mickey Mouse as he and his friends explore th magic of the Magic Kingdom Park in this all-new fantasy come true.

The most beloved Disney characters take you by the hand and give you a rare look at the fairy-tale lands of the Magic Kingdom, from a stroll down bustling Main Street U.S.A. to the romance of Cinderella Castle in Fantasyland. There are plenty of laughs and adventure from the rousing Pirates of the Caribbean to the eerie Haunted Mansion and the spine-tingling Space Mountain - it's all here in spectacular sight and sound.

There's something here for everyone, from the precious opening moments in the morning until the extravagant evening parade and breathtaking fireworks spectacle. As the sun sets on your day, you'll have fallen in love with the most captivating place in the world, the Magic Kingdom, Where Magic Lives.

No one knows the Magic Kingdom better than Mickey Mouse and you will want to re-live the wonder and enchantment again and again with this up close and personal experience.

I could be wrong, but I thought I read another post on here that these videos had footage that was quite dated. People with 80's hair and clothing. I could be wrong, though. I had posted asking about them because I figured they'd be cool to show my son to get him psyched for the trip. But people said that dated footage made it bad and just to use the free video instead.

Just took a quick look at the video (yeah, I know I should be working :rolleyes1 ) and they aren't using the dated footage (except a couple shots inside Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion. Same shots you see in all of the videos). Everything is new and looks great! :cool1: Great shots of all the lands, especially Main Street. A little cheezy with all of the characters, but it is fun to see them (happy cheese). But definitely the thing to take care of the disney fix. :earboy2: Also, I think it would be grea to show some kids to get them charged up for a visit or us Disney Addicts too. My DD4 will LOVE it.

I would love to know what time of year they filmed it, b/c it is empty there. Some of the rides hardly had people on it. Apparently it was filmed in 2003, at least that is when the copyright is.

I think the best thing about it is the "special features" section. They have hints on hidden mickeys and old footage of Walt's planning of WDW. Definitely worth the money. Also Disney Trivia.

I haven't had a chance to look to see if they are at the normal Disney Store or online at DisneyDirect. I purchased it at the World of Disney store here in NYC. I know that is a bit different than the normal Disney Stores that are now owned by Children's Place.

But they are definitely cool!

I want them all! Can you get them at the Disney Store?

I bought the set of five last month at the DTD store. It has all 4 parks and one of Disneyland. The set was $89. and I got 10% off using my AP. I think they are well done and great when you need a fix.
