We will be going to Disney during Hanukkah this year, before visiting relatives and sharing Christmas with them. We have been to WDW years ago during Dec. and know how everything is so beautiful for Christmas. I am surprising some of my family with the Aqua Seas Tour as a gift and still thinking for the other two children. We will be staying at BWV and I was just wondering if any of you have celebrated Hanukkah in WDW and what you have enjoyed to keep the holiday even when away.

Hi, mickeymom629! Unfortunately I don't have the answer to your question, but I'm giving this a friendly bump to the top for you. Have a great time in WDW! :)

You could bring a Menorah & candles - but NEVER leave it unattended.
enjoy :)

At MGM Studios go by and visit BB Good, the radio personality. She always decorates the outside of the studio with Hanukkah decorations. Meeting BB was a highlight of our vacation for our kids. She gave them some Radio Disney gifts and let them write in her scrapbook. She also announced their visit on Radio Disney which they thought was very cool.

We celebrate both Hanakkah and Christmas and have spent some of the last two Hannakkah's at WDW. I brought a small Menorah - very pretty and uses birthday candles. Also window clings for both Christmas and Hanakkah for the patio door. One of the Hanakkah clings is a Menorah and you add a cling candle every day -the girls love that one.

As far as tradition we lit the candles and did the prayer each evening and I brought along a small gift for each day of Hanakkah we were there. We brought along a dreidle and some gelt - and I also used some disney dollars LOL. We found some cool "disney coins" at the candy shop in the CR that we also used as "gelt" as well.

The American Adventure pavilion at Epcot has a Hanakkah presentation as part of the Holidays Around The World. Very short but nice and they give out a dreidle and gelt to the kids. We really didn't find much in the way of a traditional meal but maybe some jelly donughts or french fries? JK - thinking of the oil.

I wished I had done more checking myself so perhaps a call to guest relations, disney dining or even a check at the resort will give you more information. Have a wonderful time.

That's what I was curious about! I already bought the Disney chocolate coins and we have Disney driedles, so I'll bring them. And that's a good idea about the window Menorah stickers.

I am looking forward to going to the American Pavillion.

Where do I find BB Good? I've never seen where Radio Disney was.

Thanks!:earsgirl:

Radio Disney is at MGM Studios beside Sounds Dangerous-Starring Drew Carey.

Have a great time,

In the corner of the Disney Christmas Store in Downtown Disney they have a small section of Hanukah decorations.
