DAY 2, Happy Birthday Hannah!!!!:
First off, let me say this....we have never run into a more HELPFUL bunch of Disney guest and tourist as we have this trip. The entire trip, I never ONCE had to bring the stroller AND the baby on or off the bus, someone was ALWAYS helping to bring it on and off. (we brought 2 single strollers, but the baby's one was bigger and harder to carry when you have 2 small kids, a huge diaper bag and 2 strollers with 2 adults) Every time the bus was crowded, someone offered a seat. I was very impressed by the acts of kindness preformed by others on this trip!!
We got up at 6:30am, Hannah LOVED to hear Mickey on the phone waking her up. We got on the bus to the Magic Kingdom and took the monorail over to the Contemporary for our 8:15am ressies to Chef Mickey. When we checked in, I saw right on their sheet that it said Hannah's 2nd birthday, did they say anything? NO! So we got seated right away, Hannah is wearing her disney bday badge and a I am 2 badge...did the waitress say anything? NO! Mickey happened to be right there, Hannah was a little apprehensive...but was squealing with glee when he was at a distance. And then Chip and Dale came around...Hannah definately wasn't sure about them. We then filled up our plates. The food was ok, the bacon and sausage was terrific, the pancakes were ok, but the hashbrowns need a little work. I still ate so much I thought I was going to burst. Midway through our meal, the birthday song came on and Hannah thought it was to fun to twirl the napkins. At the end of the song, a kid having his 6th bday got a cupcake and sung to by the characters and waitresses and waiters. I thought "oh cool, they will do that for Hannah the next time around". At this time, Minnie came around...Hannah LOVED her! They played pattycake and danced, it was too cute. So we finished our meals and wanted to get more drinks and wait for a few more characters again. Dale came over to Hannah who still wasn't sure about him. But Dale was SOOOO great, he sat down with her and they played, he kept his distance at first and they ended up hugging and kissing. What I love about Chef Mickey is that the characters take their time with each table. When it isn't your tables turn, they won't pay attention to you. When Dale was playing with Hannah, a woman kept insisting on an autograph for her son, but Dale was determined to play with Hannah and was signalling to her that she had to wait a few minutes. This whole time, we were making birthday remarks every time the waitress came around because she still hadn't mentioned anything about her birthday. At this point she HAD to know. So the birthday music comes on again and we dance and twirl our napkins....the waitress knows we are done at this point but she is just standing there. Another waitress brings out another cupcake and brings a baby having his 1st birthday. No cupcake for Hannah!!! All Hannah had been talking about was birthday cake birthday cake and she never got birthday cake for her birthday (she did last week at her bday party though, lol) After that happened we just left because we were upset and they were clueless and we weren't going to wait another half hour for the bday song again. So we get to the Magic Kingdom at about 9:30am. We head on the train to Toon Town to see Minnie first thing. So at the character pavilion, we get in line and see Minnie and Goofy. Then we got in line again and saw Pooh and Tigger. Hannah LOVED Tigger, I was amazed because she has never shown much interest in him. It was so funny because all these characters were just in love with Julia, the baby. They all spent like 5 minutes just with her, patting her and cooing at her...was so adorable. Then we got in line again to see Cinderella. Hannah got the hiccups at this point and Cinderellas mice friends were there and they were too funny, miming out things we could do to get rid of them. Then the one mouse said to pat her back, and she started patting it which Hannah thought was TOO funny and it got rid of the hiccups!!! Then we saw Cinderella and since Hannah is still young, she was kinda like "WHO IS THIS?" But Cinderella kept calling her Princess so Hannah was now Princess Hannah the whole rest of the trip. After we got out of there, Hannah saw Barnstormers and wanted to go on. I was a little apprehensive since it is a pretty intense rollercoaster, even for like a 3 year old. So we see the height requirement is 35inches which was funny because at the doctor last week, she was exactly 35inches. So we rode the Barnstormer while dad and Julia watched. Hannah has mixed reviews on this ride, she DIDN'T want to ride again but is still talking about it today so I don't know! We then headed to Buzz Lightyear and got a fastfass and then got on the People Mover and rode 2 times since it was relaxing and Hannah was kinda dozing. Got onto the bus back to the All Star. When we got back to the room at 1:30pm, it wasn't done yet...yuck! So we put a do not disturb sign and put Hannah down for the rest of her nap, YEA RIGHT!!! She was awake now and wasn't going to bed again. So then hubby was going to take her to the pool (I couldn't, medical problems from having baby, long story). But then he realized he forgot his swim trunks, poor Hannah was all ready and she couldn't go. So we just hung around the room and I got us lunch. Our friend who was dh's bed man lives in Orlando so we were figuring out how to hook up with him. So hubby called him and we arranged to meet him back at the hotel at 7:30pm. In the meantime we went to Epcot, hubby and I took turns riding Test Track, we went and saw the Tapestry of Nations parade which we love SOOO much. And then we ate at the China outside pavilion. Made it back to the hotel right in time and Miles came with us to our room. They went and brought us back food and we had a nice night in the room. It was too funny when Hannah pulled my shirt at about 10pm and said "mommy, night night" I asked her if she wanted to go to bed, she said yes. I put her in and she was asleep, talking tv and all in 2 minutes. She NEVER does that. Poor tired girl. Miles left about 11pm and we went to bed.
