Hannah Montana Rules the World! TONS OF PICS, UPDATE 11/1!

Love the pink hair!

:thanks:

That salad sounds awesome. I am trying to get in shape and eating better is one of my goals. I'm not overweight, just a bit soft. However, I do LOVE me my paninis.

Your daughter's hair would fit out here in CA.

Oh...Wicked was good. I would probably see it again and I am NOT a play kind of guy. Apparently all the people I went with rated it one of the best musicals they've ever seen.

I don't really get into plays but I DO love the singing and dancing that makes a musical! I really want to see Springtime Awakening which won loads of Tony awards this year. That salad is SO good!

I love the pink hair! The music from Wicked is so much fun - I haven't seen the show but I love the music! I'd love to go see it one day.

I tried to read the book but couldn't get into it. I will see the show one day!

Your DD hair looks really cute! yay for first days of school! Lol

Thanks, she loves it! Some of her friends really want it done too.

Leyla, we do have Hot Topic here. :thanks: I am going to do blue or purple for WDW for Chloe. Did her school care about the pink streak?

I asked if the teacher said anything to her and she said no, so... I'm guessing it's okay. Be very careful putting the color in. If you want I can take a couple of pics and post them to show you how to do it. Let me know!

I teach high school social studies, which unfortunately also means that it is hard to get a job. I am going into my 3rd school year without a permanent job, which is why I can still be on the Dis during the day! I will be subbing starting next week (hopefully) and then I have a long-term position that starts in October, hopefully that will turn into a permanent job!

Well I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I hear ya on the Dissing, I work weekends so I'm on here all week. :upsidedow

I'm really annoyed right now by someone who has a MAJOR aversion to wearing a mask while playing hockey. Now, he's played for about 35 years and in our 10 years together I've never really seen him get injured playing until this year. He had a collision in Feb that required a plate being inserted into his cheekbone (broken orbital bone cheekbone and fractured palate) he got a mask and I *thought* he was WEARING it but I guess I thunk wrong

Last month one of his teammates tripped and the guys skate slashed Pierre'd neck and he spent the night in the ER getting sewn up. Luckily for him it didn't get his jugular vein. Whoever did it might as well have been using a knitting needle cause it looks cruddy but he doesn't care.

So when I woke up this morning I noticed an icepack next to him and he pulled the pillow over his face so hide the evidence. He got a hockey stick in the face. Lovely. Not. He asked what he should put on his face to make it heal better. Um, a MASK??!! :sad2: I won't even mentioned what happened with the hammer last week and the divot in his head :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

On another note, his mom sent us an anniversary card and you know how newspapers have the section 10 years ago today, 20 years, etc.? She included that section because it said "30 years ago today Pierre (insert last name) pitched a no hitter to..." He always jokes that he's a legend in his own mind :lmao: (he set football and hockey school records) so he had a laugh over being mentioned in that part of the paper.

Love the pink hair!!!!! How did you do it? Is it permanent? I would let Kayla do that but I think my mom would kill me. I should show Kayla the picture of your daughter.

Hey Guys,
I love your trip report. Leila, I have to say that YES you are a DIS FREAK!! HAHA I think I will change your name to lucious leila. LOL. We are going from Sept 13 till the 23rd. You guys will have to call us at our hotel so we can get together at the pool one night. I can tell we will get along very well. Im sure Pierre told you we are staying at CSR and they have a great pool so we can sneak you in one night. Keep in touch. I dont have pics and stuff because I am a dork when it comes to the computer. DUH

That sounds about right! I see you are keeping your trip a secret, I wish I could do that! I'll probably blow the whole menu surprise

This is my second year being kots and I am so ready to tell Will but I just bite my tongue. I figure next year I won't be able to pull it off on this level again so just keep it to myself! LOL

I love the pink hair! Last year Will got his cut at the Disney barber and got a red mohawk and a red hidden Mickey. We have colored his hair orange and blue for the Illini before and I am thinking of letting him do some black and red for the blackhawks opener!LOL :lmao:

More Planning

Last year we went to WDW and stayed at POFQ and it was my family and my sister's family. We used Northwest for the first time, and last mind you. I cannot believe the delays we had and we ended up missing 2 connections. We ended up getting to the resort about 10 pm and missed our Cinderella dinner that was booked at the GF. We were supposed to arrive at 2 pm which would have given the kids swimming time and resort exploration time. So this year I decided to try Southwest for the first time ever. I got the tix the day the dates came out since I wanted one of the first flights out and they are nonstop from Hartford. PLEASE tell me you all have positive experiences with Southwest!!! We SHOULD arrive around 10:30 AM and plan to let the kids swim for a while then head off to Epcot. Our dinner is at 7 and I want to see Illuminations afterwards.pixiedust: I am most excited about eating at Restaurant Marrakesh. My Dad is Iranian and this will totally be up his alley. I remember going to Epcot years ago and just LOVING Morocco. He hasn't been back to Iran in 28 years so I think the whole feel of the place will bring back memories for him!

Crocs: Bella got a pair for Christmas last year and loves them. I saw on the budget board that the google checkout was offering a deal through Dicks for $10 off and free shipping. I ordered a pair for myself and told Pierre about it. He checked out the site and liked the NFL ones so when he ordered those I got another pair, the Sassari (?) ones. I got Cooper the Airwalk ones at Payless because he wasn't sure if he wanted them but he LOVES them so before we go I will get him some proper ones. They are also Jibbitz crazy and have a bunch of them. Bob tried on Pierre's crocs and got a pair of the Silver Cloud ones. So.... we are a crocified family!

I made Bella a Hannah Montana backpack too since she didn't like the one that is availiable through Toys r Us. I swear, this kid!!!! At least I can shop at a second-hand store, Walmart and Old Navy for her stuff and she thinks it's the greatest so it saves me alot of money. In addition to no capped sleeves: no tanks, jeans, dresses, skirts (unless they are sweatpant material), etc. I only get trackpants, soccer shorts, baggy tshirts and sweatshirts.

Here's our countdown calendar. 44 days!!!! :woohoo:

Hockey players are a stubborn bunch. Most NHL players wear visors now, but many don't--even after several injuries last year in the eye area. I think the NHL would mandate it, but the player's association probably puts the kibosh on any attempt to make wearing visors a rule. It will take someone like Sidney Crosby losing his eyesight for there to be any such change.

ugh I would be so mad at him. I'm glad that DS has to wear a full face mask and helmet. DH however doesn't and I would be so mad if he got hurt because he refuses to wear it. He doesn't play all the time like your DH though so not as many worries.

Men!

It is actually mandatory for all NHL players to wear a shield or mask. ;) If you entered the league before a certain date you wre grandfathered and did not need to wear a mask. I don't think there are any players left who are grandfathered, so you should see everyone with a shield or a mask.

I grew up in Boston playing hockey as a girl with all the boys.

TO OP I LOVE YOUR DD PINK BRUINS SHIRT:cheer2:

I am a die hard bruins fan and was the highlight of the winter going togames with my Dad at the Garden. At least know there are a lot more doors open for female hockey players.

Have fun at disney 5 hours to go for me.

I don't think this is true yet. I know after a few players got injured last year, there was talk of insituting the visor rule, but it isn't a rule yet. Unless they are doing it for the 07-08 season.

I know at the collegiate level masks are required. I think they instituted the rule in the AHL last year.

I googled it and there doesn't seem to be any information about this rule being instituted by the NHL.

Actually I beleive the rule you are referring to is that they wear a helmet. All the players have to wear them now the ones that were grandfathered are retired. There is no rule regarding masks and shields. Most NHL players refuse to wear them.

I'm sorry too! ;) Around here we eat sleep and breathe hockey from Oct to Stanley Cup finals. The rest of the time we just sleep and breathe it! LOL :thumbsup2

Hi Mandy! We can try to meet up on the 21st the rest of the time is pretty scheduled. We'll be in DTD at Wolfgang Pucks around 6 pm. My Dad is with us from the 20-23rd. We were going to stay at CSR, the pool does look fab!

I saw Will's pic in you tr, very cool! I don't think Cooper would go for it, or if he did he would be flattening it to his head in 5 mins, making a mess!

You must be on your way then, lucky thing! I have a client who works for TD Bank North so I was going to see if she could get me tix to a game. She said they get them all the time so... Bella wants to play hockey in college so hopefully she can stick with it, lots of girls scholarships out there for it. Every single morning she's out waiting for the bus hitting balls into the net with her stick.

Leyla, I would LOVE help on streaking Chloe's hair. :goodvibes

I'll get some pics this weekend and put them up for you! :)
