A group of friends wants to hang out together after lunch at a Citywalk restaurant, before some of them go to an evening event at Universal. Some do not have theme park admission. Any suggestions on where the group could get out of the sun and off their feet? I don't think the restaurant wants the group to do a 6-hour lunch!

I think just about anywhere would be fun. Just pick the type of food you're looking for and head there. I like Margaritaville, Hard Rock and NBC Sports Grill & Brew.

If they are worried about getting kicked out, I don't think that would be too much of an issue as long as they continue to buy drinks, etc... They may be asked to move to the bar area (assuming there is one) if the staff need the table but I don't think it would be a problem otherwise. I would echo the restaurant suggestions made by Metro West as your best "hanging out" vibe locations.

Just if you hold a table for a long time please remember to tip accordingly. Your server depends on turning tables.

Hopping is also fun.

The Lone Palm at Margaritaville is great for an extended hang out.

We ended up having lunch at Toothsome, then looked in shops, then went to Cinnabon. Then it looked like it was going to rain, so we went over to the Hard Rock Live to wait to get into our event. Good thing we went early - it did start to rain, but we were there early enough to be under a roofed area so we didn't get wet.
