Hanger Bar in DS - can I just buy the cups?

I have loved the Indiana Jones movies since I was little, so I would love to have the souvenir cups from the Hanger Bar in Disney Springs. It will just be myself and DD9 going on the trip, so I can't really take advantage of the drinks there, but I was wondering if they would sell me just the souvenir cups? Do they have any other things to buy there, like shirts or something?

Thanks so much for your help :)

You usually can't buy just the cup. From my understanding there is no code in the POS system for just the cup and so if they try to sell it to you it will be at the full drink price and since it was suppose to have a beverage the amount of alcohol available vs sold will be off as well so they don't sell it with out the drink.

Ahh that makes sense. I didn't even think about the fact that they would have to ring it up lol. Thank you for pointing that out!

I wonder if they would substitute the alcoholic drinks with something else, like coke or iced tea?

I am sure they may have a virgin version of the drink, but the cost may be the same.

I haven't tried at Jock but at Trader Sam's you can not substitute in the souvenir glasses. Only that specific drink made exactly how it is suppose to be is sold in the glass. The drinks are designed to go with the glass so from my understanding that is why. Also as noted the tracking of alcohol.

I have seen others say they tried and were told they could not get a virgin version for the specialty drinks.

Thank you both so much for your replies! I guess I might have to forego the souvenir cups or maybe see if I can find them on Ebay or something.

Thanks again...I appreciate your help!

You can purchase the drink/cup and dump it down the drain if you wish. There's no rule saying you have to drink what's in the cup. If they have to make it, that's one thing. But you don't have to drink it.

Hmm this is true...

Yeah I think I drank maybe 1/3 of my last drink in a souvenir cup.

Not so much at Jock's but sometimes the cup and drink are ridiculously expensive so just look up pricing so you are 100% clear what you'll be paying. (I'm looking at you Nautilus haha)

I was willing to pay the full price for the cup without a drink in it so I may just order the drink and then dump it down the drain in the bathroom. For some reason, NOT drinking the booze I ordered has never occurred to me lol

When the price isn't listed it's a good chance you'll faint when the bill comes! :rotfl:
My other word of warning is if Jock's is like Sam's where they bring your souvenir cup boxed, open it up and check it before you leave to make sure it's not broken.

In the beginning you could buy just the glass without the drink so I would assume that is still the case. The Cool Headed Monkey was $15 without drink and $26 with. It is my understanding you don't actually take home the glass you drink from, but that they bring you a new one.

Oh that gives me hope! Thank you so much for letting me know!

Thanks for mentioning the prices, jvsims. They didn't have Jock's when we went last time so I've been excited to try it as the whole family are big Indiana Jones fans. I'm not really a drinker but would like to try one of the alcoholic drinks just for fun. I wouldn't mind a souvenir cup but YOWZA - the price you mentioned!!!! I just looked at the menu online and hadn't even noticed before that there were no prices for drinks, just for food. Does anyone else remember what some of the prices were? A heads up would be great so I don't die of sticker shock upon arrival! :D
