frozen.......thats cold.........yet another edge of your seat white knuckle thriller..........

just an editorial on Disneys desire to please tween girls....oh....and.....if i must, the first thing ya do on a thrill ride is put your hands up..........simple sarcasm. the company just isnt keeping up, for example, put Seven Dwarf's Mine Train in any decent coaster park without the theming and you wouldn't be able to brew a 15 minute queue........so now we open a ride (Frozen Ever After) that is not only a yawner , why do you think they blow the cold air on ya, but is no more than three or four set pieces from the movie. now don't get all up in my business i am not a troll. i have 29 WDW vacations under my belt and am not ashamed to cry when i first walk into the Magic Kingdom. its just a bit perplexing sometimes. hopefully they get the Star Wars section right, its their big chance to have their own Harry Potter affect.

I don't think they're going after tween girls with FEA. They're going after younger children. I think it's a poorly done cop-out, but I'm also a grinch who doesn't find 7DMT or BTMRR all that exciting.

What is the point you're trying to get across? I don't think your first post is considered an "editorial". I understand that the new ride isn't for you - cool. I'm sure there will be other rides in the future to please you.

Based on the lines, looks like the cop-out is working. Not sure they are ever going to do great thrill rides - time will tell though.
That's what we go to Universal for.

Absolutely agree 100%
There is nothing at Disney that I consider a true thrill ride, though EE and RnR are probably line ball.
They do dark rides and boat rides... And sometimes, dark boat rides.
FEA was never going to be groundbreaking when maelstrom wasn't, and all this is is maelstrom in a high fashion dress with a couple of animatronics.

It's been open a day and a half, of course it has crazy long lines. I don't think it's a cop-out because it isn't a thrill ride. I think they relied heavily on screens and there's no storyline to it. It's essentially just visiting Frozen's greatest hits. They could have done a story like so many of the other dark rides have, but they opted not to. :confused3

The thing is, they don't need to.
7DMT has a line over 120 minutes constantly, and it's 2 years old and from what I've heard, it's a huge let down.
7DMT has all of the MK attractions to compete with, most of which are huge fan faves, but still gets those long lines.

There's nothing in EPCOT anymore other than like 3 tier one rides and maybe 2-5 ok rides in tier 2.
This will have long lines for a very long time, and in disneys eyes, that's a success (unfortunately)

It is unfortunate. Maybe I'm a dreamer, but I'd love for them to want to make the very best rides they can, not rides that are just good enough that people will ride them. :/

Why be creative and innovative (which would likely be more expense), when they can get away with easy, yet still pulls in the crowds.
