Just curious as I would have panicked and paid over the odds by now! I have real admiration for those of you who are waiting for a fair deal. What would your cut off point be when you would feel you had to book?

Maybe one of the VA / BA sales will have something in store.

Best wishes.

Hi, just to let you know, we often book flights one to two months before we fly in high summer (I am a primary school teacher), they are not cheap obviously, but we also feel that we don't pay over the odds either.

I am a primary teacher too, cheapest I can get flights for Aug at the moment (2 ad 1 ch) is m&m with virgin around £1879 if they dropped to anywhere near £1500 I'd probably book. If they don't drop at all we'll probably cruise instead.

Im just going to save my money up and see if i can get a cheap deal closer to when i want to go.

If i cant then it'll be off somewhere else on holiday.

Flights alone are way too expensive this year, especially now that globespans went down the pan.

I would have been booked months ago if only DH's boss would authorise his annual leave but we are still waiting for permission. I was really hoping to have it sorted by christmas at the latest but still no sign. Keeping fingers crosssed that we are able to do it soon. If he can't match up his leave with mine we won't get a family holiday as all the summer holidays have been taken up with my colleagues requests. Matching annual leave together and school holidays are a nightmare.
