handicapped rooms at BWV

Can anyone tell me if all the handicapped accessible rooms at Boardwalk Villas are preferred view. I looked at DVCnews room finder and they were all preferred..

Keep in mind that the rooms on dvcnews finder are only those that people filed reports on. There are more rooms than are on the list. I know there are boardwalk view handicapped (around x049), not sure about standard view.

oh.. I think im going to call and find out. Trying to figure stuff out for the next trip and its obvioulsy a big point difference

I would be surprised if there are not standard view handicapped. I think Disney makes sure there are handicapped rooms in each room category (it may even be a law). There are only 5 AKV lockoff conceirge rooms and 1 of them is handicapped.

We were assigned an HA studio that was classified as Standard View though it was facing the pool area. It was on the ground floor and the view was of the back of Leaping Libations. We were told it was classified as Standard View since the view was obstructed.

Actually two of the five Concierge level 1BRs are HA. One has a roll-in shower instead of a whirlpool tub, the other has a tub but is still a type of HA room.

There are so few Value rooms, it's not too surprising that there is only one HA Value room. It is a 1BR with a pool view. You are correct that there is only one HA studio in Jambo House (Standard View). I don't know how many HA rooms there are in Kidani but I would hope they have provided some additional HA studios there.

Overall, Jambo House has 1 HA studio (Standard View), 8 HA 1BRs (1 Value, 1 Standard View, 4 Savanna View, 2 Concierge both with a savanna view) and 1 HA GV. An additional HA studio instead of so many HA 1BRs might have been a better allocation and instead of 2 HA Concierge 1BRs, one studio and one 1BR would have made more sense I think.
