Handicapped rooms at AKL

Last year we (myself, DH, DS, DD & DD in crib) stayed at PO-R. We had a room with roll in shower as DH (has MS) cannot get into a tub.
We had enough room to charge-up the ECV overnight and for the crib too!
This year we are staying at AKL. Same people & crib. I keep reading how small the rooms are at AKL!!! Will we be able to get the ECV in for charging with the crib as well?
DH doesn't need to use the ECV in the room. Just park it!
Can anybody compare PO-R & AKL for me?

The AKL rooms for guests with disabilities have a HUGE and wonderful bathroom...plenty of room for an ECV. One thing I liked is that the toilet is on the opposite side of the room from the tub or roll-in shower, making it easy to transfer. ---Kathy

Have to agree with Kathy. AKL handicapped rooms are wonderful. My favorite resort now.

Do the handicapped rooms have 2 queen beds or just the King bed?

There are different configurations. I've always had a room with two queens as there are four in our party, but I'm sure you could request a king if there were two of you. I think, but am not positive, that some of the king rooms come with a sofa-bed, so they'd sleep 3. ---Kathy

Does AKL Concierge have handicapped rooms? Do they have the 2 queen beds?

We are 4 + crib you see!!!!!

DH so wants to do the Sunrise Safari with the 2 older children, hence ALL these questions!!!!!!!

AKL concierge does have the rooms with two queens- we've stayed in 6204 four times as well as being on a regular floor twice. There are also rooms available in concierge on the 5th floor ( or you can actually request any room with access to the lounge, but the official rooms are on 5th and 6th floor). The sunrise safari is fantastic!
