Can anyone tell me details about these rooms? What floor? What kind of view? Are they lumped together or throughout the resort?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know the answer, but I'm bumping this up so hopefully someone who does know sees it.
In general, they try to place handicapped rooms in all areas and all floor levels (if they have elevators, not at places that don't).
If you don't get an answer here, you can call WDW Resort Special Reservations:

Hi, I went to Animal Kingdom Lodge with a friend who uses a power chair, and she and her nurse stayed in standard handicapped room near the elevators. I think it was room 4006 or something, with a parking lot view. I must say, the standard rooms are TINY!!! The bathroom is quite big, but the rest of the room was so small that she could barely maneuver. She kept hitting the dresser and put many nicks and scratches in it, and even knocked off the handle. She was disapointed with the room, but it I guess it worked okay enough. The bathroom had a roll-in shower and plenty of room around the toilet. The room also had a chair that converted into a daybed, along with a king bed.

We had a parking lot view, but my friend could never get the chair out on the balcony, anyways, so the view was a moot point.

Well, sorry to sound somewhat negative, but the standard rooms are small, but the rest of AKL was very accessible :) Hope this helps a bit!
