Handicapped Room 7631

Our best friends are cruising with us next year and have booked 7631, as he uses crutches and needs rails for tub, etc. They were wanting to know the sq footage of this room, and how it compares to other inside room categories, or even an outside handicapped. Also, can this room sleep 4 if his ex wife will allow him to bring his 2 kids, or will he need to upgrade? Thanks for any help.

We stayed in this room on our last cruise (even though neither of us are handicapped) and we were pleasently surprised by how big it was. I don't know the exact square footage but my husband went into another couple's regular inside room and said our's was huge compared to theirs. The one way I can describe it is it's a big square instead of a rectangle going straight back. And from what I remember (it's been 2 years) it wouldn't sleep 4. I just remember seeing one of the pull down wall beds and the queen size bed and that's it. There was no tub, though, and the shower floor is level with the regular floor (no stepping over anything) It just has a drain going around it. Hope this helps in some way.

Thanks Kelly, that helps. Do you know if the couch folded out? If it does, then with the wall bed there would be room for the 2 kids. (They're young). I just wonder if Disney has a rule about 4 in that Cat room? Was it fairly convenient to go out to the sitting area across from the room? Was it ever crowded out there? They were thinking this might be the next best thing to having their own verandah. Thanks again.

There is no couch in the room. I guess they figure you may need the extra room. The only other "sitting area" is the vanity/desk area. We LOVED the aft verandah, which was just right outside our door, so much that we tried to book another deck 7 aft room for our next cruise so we could take advantage of it again. My husband smokes so it was real convenient for us! We don't have "personal" verandah $$$ so it was the next best thing for us!!!
