Will they have handicap seating (ECV 7 DAS card) as they do for Fantasmic or should I just do a dinner reservation for the night we want to see the show?

thanks

They do have handicap seating but it fills up quickly because there isn't a lot. We usually get in line around 2 hours before the first show. Even if you have dinner package if you don't get there before they start seating for standby line you may not get a handicap spot.

1) Now, I am going on memory.
2) And, hopefully I am not currently within a "Senior Memory Moment".
3) As I remember,
. . . 8-10 chair-slots total on the edges of the rows under the pavilion
. . . 6-8 chair-slots total near the interior pavilion support posts
. . . 4-6 chair-slots total on the back row (walkway/street level) before entering the pavilion
. . . plus, there are 10-12 regular bench seats "reserved" for the handicapped
4) And, as Michigan stated, they fill up FAST, FAST, FAST. *

* At most shows, you see wheelchairs and ECV's on the walkway trying to
see the show, because the handicapped slots are filled.

Thanks everyone. I think we will just do the dinner package. I would like to go Christmas Eve so I am sure it will really be packed.

Be sure your dinner package time allows you enough time to eat and get to the show. I have seen many people yell at CM's because they had bad seats. Well, if they would have got their before the standby line goes in they wouldn't have a problem.

Thank you for the heads up! I would hate to spend that kind of money and end up with crappy seats. Then have to listen to DH complain on top of it :rolleyes1

We went two years ago for a popular narrator (Neil Patrick Harris), got the dining package, went to the early show, lined up about an hour in advance, and got a wheelchair spot. It was kind of a traffic jam, though, and the CM's directing traffic weren't doing a very good job.

Funny story. After all the dining package guests were seated, they asked us all to move in to make room for the standby guests. Everybody looked around and stayed where they were. We all felt the same way: we'd paid extra to be able to get the seats we wanted, so why should we give them up? They kept delaying, asking us to move in, telling us the show was going to be delayed if we didn't move in, etc.

A couple of people shouted out, "I'm not moving behind a post!"

The CM said, "You have to make room for the people waiting outside!"

The people in the crowd shouted back, "THEY can sit behind a post!"

They finally just let the standby guests in to fill in the gaps, like they should have done from the beginning. (Of course, the traffic direction was even worse getting out; we had to wait a whole hour to be able to safely maneuver the ECV out of the theater.)

This is the night we are planning on going as well. :goodvibes
From what I've read, this is one of the busiest nights of the year for CP. We will definitely be getting the package. I don't think I could handle the stress of trying for standby!
See you there!:wave2:
