Well over the Holiday my hand mixer's (2) finally gave up:(, one was a GE that my Grandmother gave me, it was old when she gave it to me and I had it for 23 years, she gave it to me when my DD was about year old, and the other one I have had for 10 years, it was a shower gift when DH and I got married.

Well now.... I have to get 2 more, I like having 2 so that DD and I can be together in the kitchen baking or if I am making holiday meal or entertaining it's just makes it easier. Also I plan on get her one for a shower gift, she gets married in less than 2 months:crazy2:.

I need a basic style, and, I would like to have one that has several attachment? Suggestion Please.

I love my Kitchen Aid hand mixer. I have had it 15 years and no problems. I use it for more than pulling out my big Kitchen Aid mixer.

I had a kitchen aid hand mixer & loved it.
It lasted for a long time...it finally gave up so I replaced it with a new kitchen aid & it just didn't have any power...I couldn't make meringue at all....
so I gave it away. I received a cooks (from JCP) as a gift-it has lots of power -mixing any dough I want & does a great job whipping stuff!

I also love my KitchenAid hand mixer. I have a KitchenAid stand mixer that is great for the heavy-duty mixing, but I use the hand mixer more than 90% of the time. I've had it at least ten years.

My daughter got me this for Christmas as she researched and found that it got good reviews, and it was around 23.00. It is very powerful, and although I dont know how it will hold up in the long run, it is the most powerful hand mixer I have ever used.

Non sense retyping exactly this.

I love both my K/A stand and hand mixers!

I've owned several hand mixers and kitchen aid is by far the best. They do cost a bit more, I think I paid about $80 for mine, but I think they are worth it.

Kitchen Aid Architect and Artisan models both scored very well on the buying guide I looked at, but they're also in the $80 price range.

A JCPenney Cooks brand scored exactly the same as the Artisan and it's priced at ~ $30

The Oster mentioned earlier scored in the mid ranges on the guide I looked at.

Of course the buying guides are just that, a general guide.

I have a Cuisinart model that I've had so long it's too old to make any of the current lists, and it's still going strong and I'm very happy with it.

If I were shopping for one right now I'd give this one a good look: JC Penney, Cooks 10-Speed HM820
