Today was the only chance I had this season to watch CMs make their DL signature hand-made candy canes. It's always one of my favorite things to watch. I've included the schedule for this year and several pics :-).

Incidentally, sorry about the reflections. I did the best I could :-).

And a few mini canes made at the end of the batch.

thank you, documentation that there are tiny canes.....now....how does one purchase a tiny cane. and it is fun to watch folks walk, hustle, run to that magical tape on the sidewalk to secure the wrist band and express their joy with glee....and breathless candor....though at 14 over, I am sure you had the same breathless endor!!!!!!

How bad are the lines for the candy canes? I am curious to try a fresh candy cane, but don't necessarily want to wait in a long line for it. Very nice pics by the way. You always make me jealous with your Buzz scores! :-)

I didn't buy one myself (I've been off sugar for nearly 30 years) but here's what I know:
1. Wristbands to buy CCs are distributed once the park opens. They go quickly.
2. Approx. 120-135 CCs are made per day.
3. There is no "standby" line for CC purchase(s) :-(. All CCs are sold/spoken for by the end of the day.

Lines aren't especially bad, per se. It's just that once the park opens, folks rush to line up to get their wristbands and they go quickly. In short, demand far exceeds supply.

LOL. Thanks. The first several times I ever did BL, I thought two things: One, this game is kinda dumb and, two, a score of 999,999 is impossible. They simply list it as an unattainable goal. The more I did the ride, the more addicted I became. Now I do it at least eight times per park visit.

My wife and other son got in town late that night and we got in line on Friday morning about 30 minutes before rope drop and we got wrist bands for 12:30pm. This morning we went to DCA and got in the park 35 minutes after rope drop and we were walking to go to breakfast with the kids and noticed they were still handing out wrist bands and there were only like 5 people in line. I did not see what time they were giving them out for but it was no where near as crazy as DL and today was a Saturday vs the other two days of Wednesday and Friday. So if you are looking to get one try for the DCA days.
