hand luggage query

Is a camera bag (standard size for video camera) counted as being your single piece of hand luggage.

Loathe to check it in main luggage but wife and daughter are going mob handed.

If it is classed as being part of the designated single item each could I take on my daughters stuff in a carrier bag and then transfer it to the Virgin kids pac. Is a carrier also classed as being standard hand luggage.

Nic took his camera bag and a rucksack with his notebook in. I had a small holdall. We didn't get a queries. BTW we too went with Virgin. Make sure they don't weigh too much. 5 kilos is the max.

I think you are allowed a camera bag plus the hand luggage allowance. We never check ours in with the hold luggage - too risky!

My DH was allowed to carry camcorder case and his hand luggage bag when we went in november, we too flew with virgin.

We've never had a problem with hand luggage.

I usually have a shoulder bag, plus camcorder bag, plus carrier bag (from W H Smith!), plus another carrier with the Duty Free. Meanwhile DW and DSs have handluggage, handbag, rucksacks etc. as well.

As you can see we don't travel light!!! ...and most of our stuff is already in the Owner's Closet at our villa!!
