We are doing 5 nights at WL in WDW in Sept. We then have ressies at Hampton Inn Universal for three nights for the Universal/Sea World part of the trip since we have used HI many times on various other trips. Anyone with experience at this HI? Clean, good location, shuttle service?? We have a normal Hilton Honors rate and are really just looking for a decent place with a cont. breakfast for the last three nights. My wife will be tired of eating so much breakfast by the time we leave WDW.
I stayed there on a last minute trip thru www.hotelkingdom.com I think we spent about $45 a night. It was a very quiet, nice hotel if you just want a place to lie your head. It's very basic Hampton Inn.
I asked for a Queen room, which has a microwave and a small refrigerator. The cont breakfast was adequate, especially for my son who just wanted cereal and juice. My only big problem was they had NO laundry room. That was horrible especially the week we were there because it rained torrents every single day! I ended up drying our clothes on the air conditioning unit!
All in all, not bad, but after WL you MIGHT want to consider staying onsite at Universal. September is a great time to try for the Entertainment rate which is very good for the Royal Pacific Resort. Believe me, you will NOT regret it!
