Looking into booking a room at the Hampton Inn near Universal on Windhover Drive. Just curious if anyone has stayed at this hotel and if so how was it? I have stayed at one another Hampton Inn in the past and have been happy with it (clean rooms, nice staff) , so I am hoping this one is nice as well.

I stayed there in June and it was good. Breakfast selections were ample, all rooms have mini fridges, microwaves and safes in them. Bathroom came with shampoo, lotion and conditioners. The hotel was clean and in good condition. Only real issue was a musty smell but I think that's just Florida. Service was great. You could walk to Universal if you were into walking (probably take about 10 minutes to get to entrance). Also it's on the trolley line so you could take that to places. There's a walgreen's across the street that you can shop at. Also has plenty of fast food options nearby and a few sit down places. There's a grocery store nearby too but I didn't make it in there.
When I go back in July for a week I will stay there again.

Have a great time!!!

We stayed there once and, as I recall, it seemed like the building was pretty old. We stay at the Best Western over there and those rooms seem a little old, too. Everything was fine, though.

Yes I think the building is old but the inside seemed ok. Totally off topiz but is that your cat or is that just a picture form the internet. So cute

Thanks hpfan100 and Kay1 for the info. Glad to hear that even though the hotel is older the rooms are still in good condition and clean, which was my main concern. Also like that that it is only ten minutes to get to entrance by walking, might end up doing that.
Again, thanks for the help.

they have a free shuttle too! I took it one day when I didn't want to pay for parking. It shares the shuttle with 2 other hotels so it can be full.

The shuttle service is available to Universal, Disney and Seaworld.

Good luck!
