Has anyone stayed here the night before the cruise? We've made a reservation based on the lower rate, but we can always change it! Just wondered if anyone has any experience with this hotel. Thanks.

We stayed there one night prior to our 11/06 cruise and found it to be just find. the front desk staff was helpful and friendly and the room was fine. They had a nice heated pool open late and a private walkway to the beach. Hope this helps.

That helps a lot. Do you remember approximately how long it took you to drive to the Port on Sat. AM?

We had to return a car to budget, which we did at 10am and by the time we got to port by budget shuttle it was about 10:30. If you don't have to mess with rental car return I would guess you could get to port in 10 minutes. I think the Hampton is between 5 and 6 miles from port

We stayed in June. Very nice continental breakfast included.

They will arrange a shuttle pick up with Art's if you want, but it was not included. Heads up on Art's, they will not pick up before 12. We called a taxi. We called the night before, but they "forgot", so call about 30 min. before your scheduled pick up to remind them.

We just stayed at the Courtyard next door to the Hampton. We didn't go inside the Hampton but from the outside it looked nice. Very big for a Hampton.

It took us about 10 minutes to get to the Port.

Have a great time!

I was wondering if anyone knew if they provided a shuttle to the port? I read that they did on their website. Is there a charge? Or is it free like the Radisson? Also, how were the rooms and breakfast? Any info would be great, thanks!

In regards to the shuttle at the Marriott. We stayed in June 2003.

We specifically had to ask for a cruise package to have this included. However, we kept having to remind them that it was included everytime I talked to them. Ask for it in writing. The courtyard was very disorganized.

I believe they also have a standard pick up from Art's if you do not have it as part of a package.

But the same goes for the pick up time with Art's at the courtyard. They will not pick up before 12. At least that was our experience in 2003.

In getting my reservation, I had specifically asked if we could be picked up at 10. I confirmed this a number of times. But of course when we checked in, they said we couldn't go until 12 because Art's didn't pick up that early.

When I talked to Art's, the reason they told me they wouldn't pick up before 12 was because they didn't open the terminal until 12 anyways. Well, we all know that is not true.

We took a taxi. Much easier, same distance, we didn't have to go with anyone else and it was around $15 for the 3 of us.
