Hamilton Tickets - cheapest website?

I know I'm going to be paying through the nose for tickets, but I'm really debating taking my daughter to see this in Chicago. I've never seen this kid interested in anything as much as she has been over this show/music over the last year, and I would really love to take her to see it.

Is there any resale sites that might be cheaper than others? Or know of any way to get decent priced tickets (other than the lottery)?

Thanks! :-)

I just bought mine last week for chicago as a surprise for DD for Xmas. I got great seats from the actual website. Ticketmaster. Not the resale market. This was just last week. what I found were seats were better for matinees but both shows had seats!

Hamilton was extended in Chicago and new tickets were released on 8/29. I was able to get $65 matinee balcony tickets for my 3 kids for Christmas. (With Ticketmaster fees, they came out to about $81 each). My middle DD saw Hamilton with a school group and loved it and my older DD and youngest DS were both dying to see it too, so they'll be going to a Saturday matinee in February. They know all the songs so I imagine it will be quite fun for them.

What date are you going? I'm really restricted in my dates with work and school and living 6 hours from Chicago, lol

You and me both. I am in Pittsburgh and flying in for 3 days. I got 2nd row center mezzanine with club acess( reserved restroom light snacks). Dh very picky on restrooms so works well. My date is a Wednesday last one in March...

OP, be careful. They are trying very hard to crack down on ticket resales. You don't want to end up at the theater and be told that your ticket is not valid (and this has happened with Hamilton tickets).

If it's listed as a verified reseller, coukd they still turn you away?

Still researching prices... hoping to go during the week between Christmas and New Year's and Ticketmaster is around $250 for nosebleed seats. Just trying to find cheaper,

I used ticket liquidator once b/c I had coupon and was able to get a decent percent off using e b a t e s. it wasn't cheap but i got great seats with no issues.

I just looked at Ticketmaster for that week, it appears all tickets are sold except for premium and verified resale. That is why the prices are so high.

Wow! I tried all summer to get tickets but couldn't find anything for less than nearly $200 with fees (and with five of us going that wasn't an option). I'll have to check again, maybe can find something in early January that's cheaper. Not many people want to go to Chicago in January fortunately :)

Thanks for all your help everyone!!

I bit the bullet and bought 2 tickets for dd and I to see this. They weren't cheap, but it's definitely going to be worth it to see dd's face on Christmas morning. I was able to get 1st row center Mezzanine for $187 each.

Tickets were twice as much during Christmas break, so I decided to change the dates. So we'll be going over President's Day weekend (kind of fitting, lol), and she won't have to miss any school. That'll also give some time for the excitement to build, rather than going immediately after Christmas.

Thanks again everyone! :-)

OP is all set, but in case anyone else is following along, this is from HamiltonBroadway.com (the official website):

"There are many ticket resellers and secondary markets for tickets. For the best seats and to eliminate the risk of fraud, get tickets in advance through the Box Office, Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster Plus or Broadway.com. Purchasing tickets from any other seller runs a high risk of receiving fraudulent tickets."

That is super! Sounds like you were able to get them off ticketmaster with no markup as that is what I paid with taxes for ours same seats etc. I like the idea of a deferred gift like that. Glad it worked out!

Has anyone ever purchased tickets from Working Advantage? Wondering if they are reliable

Don't know about Chicago tickets but just wanted to say that it was such an awesome show! Saw it in NY- last row in the theater for over 250.00 (regular price of tickets) and OMG- we were SOOOO happy, it was such a great show!!

Never heard of them. And seriously, people have been turned away for having fake tickets.
I understand- I've already purchased them because it is an organization that offered membership through my employer.
Anyone else use them for anything?

Working Advantage is legit. If they were not they would not have been around as long as they have. Think of them as an extension of an employee benefit at work. I belong but have not used them yet. I got it free as I am a member of a Jimmy Buffett ParrotHead Club and the national organization that oversees the local clubs has it as a benefit for being a member. They also sell Disney Tickets and other theme parks.
