Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker Question

I just bought one at Walmart it is Oval stainless steel with black bowl insert.

My question is this...is the electrical cord supposed to be stiff, I mean so stiff it is difficult to bend????


I have never purchased an appliance with a cord like this most are bendable and soft.

That's strange. Is there a 1-800 # you could call? Maybe that's a new thing.

and mine isnt stiff at all! i just got mine from amazon.com and the cord is very flexible, that does seem weird.

That's weird. Mine sounds almost the same (oval stainless, etc.) and my cord wraps around it easily for storing. I would recommend returning it as defective if it is still new.

thanks guys, I called and the CS indeed did tell me that the cord should be flexible, a standard appliance code....I am taking it right back to Walmart.

Scared that it might catch on fire.
