Our second week here.
Posted about the smoker below us, and that post was removed. I hope this one isn't.
We arrived last Monday and as we got off the elevators on 5th floor heading to our 1 BR villa, we noticed a drawer had been removed from the dresser/chest that sits against wall across from elevators. When we went out later, another one was gone. Then next day another! They removed the naked chest and now there are two chairs and a plant in the spot.
2nd floor chest is missing two drawers currently.
WHO takes these?!?! And why?!
If they are refurbishing, would they not remove the entire chest?

I have witnessed some pretty deplorable behavior this trip. One women in the bakery this morning took up the entire area by the toaster while she made her breakfast, while she complained that the bakery wouldn't make her special order, so she had to. She threw her trash and dirty plates and utensils on the counter, and left them there!

I have vacationed in WDW for 20 plus years, 2 or 3 times a year, and love it!
However, the behavior of some people never ceases to astound me.

Sad to say, but watching people is part of our entertainment. :goodvibes

Worse observation was an upholstered chair that the guest had moved out to the patio at SSR. There it sat in the rain for several days despite repeated calls and discussions with the CM's.

:earsboy: Bill

That is sad.
You are right though. People watching is very entertaining.

PG:
I reported as well.

Also asked a maintenance person about the missing drawers; he said he had heard about it.

I'm here now as well at Kidani and have to agree we have seen some sad behavior. Sad because the people doing it are almost proud of themselves for acting this way. Several incidents have come from CM's. I can't say they are exempt.

Unfortunately, people are getting worse and worse.

My sister-in-law current significant other complains about every meal he gets at a restaurant. He intentionally does this to get something for free. I wonder if people are acting terrible sometimes just so Disney gives them something for their inconvenience.

My sister-in-law doesn't understand way we won't go out to eat with them anymore.

There is a sense of entitlement that exists,
I think, that perpetuates such rude behavior.
As far as CMs are concerned,
I believe one gets what one gives.
We treat everyone we meet with respect and a smile.
We have never had an issue.
Other rude guests? I have had to bite my tongue and walk away.

I agree with this analogy unfortunately I saw CM's treat people with some pretty rude words and treatment definitely enjoying their power. Not enough to say it was the norm, we have experienced some pretty amazing pixie dust. Just relaying what we saw first hand. I'm sure the hot weather, crowds, and frustrated guests make it harder to be pleasant.

I agree - we see this every day at work - a medical office - just try to tell someone no or wait your turn or we have a policy you don't agree with and you'd think you called their mother a horrible name. :rotfl2: Definitely a lot of people who have been raised with everything handed to them and no one setting any boundaries or teaching them basic manners. :sad2: So it's not just something that happens on vacation.

This is very interesting my daughter a teacher on a tight budget but with some very good insurance just called 2 different oral surgeon's offices for some basic information. She needed to know what her insurance would cover and what she would need for a deductable. She got one extremely rude gal on the phone who would not tell her a darn thing and the other who took 2 min to explain that they could bill her blue cross and dental and she would be required to pay 20% up front. I guess it is all in perspective. I am going to keep that in mind. Except the stealing that is just nuts stealing drawers.
