Has anyone ever had or knows of anyone whose had a Halloween Wedding at disney?

Alissa is having one!!!!!! I have seen others on here.Hopefully they will show up!

Hey poohbear! We're having ours on Oct 30th (for several reasons, the biggest was because it was more expensive for a weekend wedding and we figured if everyone was already down there, it didn't really matter what day of the week -- secondly, my mom made a good point about our anniversary being swept up in the take-the-kids-trick-or-treating business, so we opted for the 30th). We're huge Nightmare Before Xmas fans, so that's going to be a big part of our theme for our at-home reception... other than the date and dragging everyone to MNSSHP on Friday, I guess its not too "halloweeny" - but our colors are black and white and purple... orange was a bit much for us lol... let me know if you have any specifics, we've totally been there!! Oh - before it even comes up, we REALLY wanted to get married in the lobby of TOT, but they weren't having it... especially because we're escapees... Maybe if we were like Donald Trump they might. lol I've always heard if you have the money, Disney has the means...

Thats a very good point with the kids and trick or treating.. I also am a HUGE fan of Nightmare before Xmas. I would say thats like one of my all time favorite movies so thats cool that its going to be a big part of your theme. Thats sounds cool and would be so awesome during MNSSHP.
We dont have any plans yet but of course me i have some ideas. I was thinking of having the guess come in costumes or only the wedding party. Or another idea i had was I of course where the white wedding gown and have the colors be black and red and have the the bridesmaids and groomsmen alternate between the black and red. but who knows.... :rotfl: yeah thats true maybe if you were Donald Trump they would be probably be groveling at your feet and couldn't do enough for you.

My DD and DSIL were married last Halloween at SBP. The wedding was traditional (no costumes) at 12 Noon and then the reception was at Fulton's. The bride and groom gave everyone MNSSHP tickets so the whole wedding group reassembled that evening and went to the party in costumes this time. It was a great day! Maybe I can get her to post in case you have any questions.

My fiance and I are having a Halloween wedding this year at Sunset Point, we both love Nightmare Before Christmas, but opted for "The Corpse Bride" theme, we are having a custom cake and lots of really cool touches. :goodvibes

I would love to see some of your plans!! :goodvibes

I don't have enough posts to add pictures yet....but I can tell you about it, we are having a custom cake as mentioned before, and we had a custom cake topper made as well, our flower girl will be carrying our rings in a little Corpse Bride painted coffin made by one of my friends, and she is making little sugar coffins for favors. I have another friend in school for jewelry design and she is making my jewelry, our colors are lavender, black, and blue...I guess I should post more so I can just put pictures up....it would be a lot easier! :)

A Halloween wedding is a charming and original idea. It will allow guests to relax more than more traditional themes, and they will thank you for it.

I love it! Our colors are black and white and violet -- didn't want to use orange? lol. Orange is an awesome color when its by itself -- or mixed with other warm type colors -- like Carrie's flowers -- but when its left with black it screams halloweeny... I mean, I'm all for halloween - but I want a little elegance as well... :confused3

hi guys! Caniacdeb is my mom....she told me to check this posting out. We got married on Halloween last year as she said. We thought about that whole, "well, when we have kids we'd be trick or treating...." But my DH is a big kid at heart and wants to go trick or treating now even without children! We always hope we could shove them off on the grandparents maybe??? ;) (bet my mom is loving that comment right there!)

Anyways, we had a traditional wedding, but took everyone to not so scary. My DH and I were a "dead" bride and groom. Very funny! We got asked when we got married by a CM and we were like, "at noon today." We're both very into Halloween (it's our favorite time of the year) and my DH said from the time we started talking about marriage that it was the day he wanted to get married on. (It was about the only say he had in the wedding!) My bridesmaid's dress was brown (a real rich, chocolate brown) and my flowers were yellow and rust roses. Rust roses are kind of a orange-y/red tint. But they are beautiful! We were thinking "fall" colors more than "halloween" colors.

I loved having our day on Halloween and I still love the looks I get from people when I say, "oh, I got married on Halloween last year."

Yeah....orange isn't really my color, I had a very distinct vision of how I wanted everything to look (I'm an art school nerd) so, orange wan NOT in the picture! :)

I couldn't have gone with bright orange. I didn't want my wedding day to *scream* halloween. :)

Here are my flowers to give you a better idea:

Those are really pretty! I like your autumn color theme, I wanted to achieve the same look that Tim Burton has going on in The Corpse Bride, so I chose my colors based on that, but your flowers don't scream "Halloween" to me, very elegant! :flower3:

This sounds like so much fun! Why do I never get invited to the great weddings?!

OMG we're thinking of doing this too!! :goodvibes I asked WC if we could go in our bridal attire and she said (very diplomatically) that it was up to the CM at the gate -- because of the no wedding attire in the park rule, we might get turned away... so, we thought maybe we'd go to a secondhand store and pick up some good costumes for corpse bride and groom -- how did you do your costumes?? OMG I need pics! :rotfl:

Strangely enough.....we don't have a picture of us at Not So Scary! Go figure! We originally were just going to go as a famous couple (of course, we hadn't decided on one yet) and we hit a local costume store about three weeks before Halloween and found these great costumes. The fun part was- I kind of only half-washed off my make up from the wedding- so my eyes were all black around the outside. Worked for the whole "dead" look.
