My DH and I were invited to a wedding on October 30th. The entire wedding is Halloween themed and The guests are asked to wear costumes.HELP... What kind of costumes should we wear? I have no idea what we should dress as. Any suggestions???????

I did tell my DH that I could go as Snow White and he could go as Dopey:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Seriously though any costume suggestions???????

WOW, that's an interesting theme for a wedding! I guess it'll definitely be memorable!

I was thinking you could try for a Renaissance theme if you want to be more dressy.

Do you have any theaters nearby? We have a theater near my home which rents out costumes for Halloween, and there is also a costume shop. The theater runs it kind of like a store, where you can go in and browse and see what fits. Might be something worth looking into if you don't actually want to purchase a costume?

(I like the Snow White and Dopey idea...if it were me and BF, he'd be Grumpy though! :teeth: )

Go as a bride and groom!:teeth:

Or pull out an old tacky bridesmaid dress and go as the world's worst bridesmaid.

How about Mickey & Minnie?

I like the Snow White & Dopey idea too! :)

I'd go Renaissance. I think it would look beautiful and classy. Or you could go for the Maid Marian look.

Cool!

:) How about Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas? Romanic and creepy at the same time?

Actually it was a surprise Halloween wedding.
My DH and I had been together for about 12 years, we had 2 kids, extremely stable - just forgot to get married along the way.:D
Well oldest DD was about 4 and we started talking one day that we really did need to get married so we would all have the same last name when she started school. That happened to be about 2 weeks from my annual family Halloween party. We thought, "What the heck"! We both LOVE Halloween so it was perfect.
The surprise part came from the fact that our families thought we were never getting married. I called 1-800 - find a Justice of the Peace (OK, Not exactly) and explained the situation. Poor guy was a bit nervous about the whole thing. He had never been to a surprise wedding before- Go figure:D
Anyway it was a hit! A ton of fun and a great way to do it. I love theme parties so a theme wedding was right up my alley.
On the OP - any kind of fun dress would be great. Obviously fun loving people;)

M&M's mom we kind of did the same thing but with a New Year's eve party. Everyone came to the party and a wedding broke out.

Go to a rental shop near you and check it out!!! There are tons of cool things, esp if you want to go Renaissance.
I am sure they have all kinds of things.

Sounds like FUN!

How about a horse costume?

I've always wanted to dress up as a Borg for Halloween, but I could never find a Borg costume.

I think that's a fun theme for a wedding. Congratulations.

If you want to look pretty you could go as a Disney Princess and her Prince - maybe Aurora and Prince Phillip - or you could push the envelop and go as Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein.

I'd probably go for pretty. Though Snow White and Dopey could be cute too.

Good luck!

www.ShindigZ.com has some really good couples costumes. There is a Cinderella and Prince Charming, a queen and king of Egypt, Knight and Renaissance princess, there are some really cute ones.
