After breakfast, much earlier than yesterday, we got to the gates of the main park before it was open so we went into Salon Mickey - our first time as Shareholders - what a great feeling that is! Time for a few photos, including an arm's length shot of us:
Once in the park we bought a couple lanyards and started pin trading. The shops were selling some pins cheap so we stocked up on those to exchange for some better ones. This was our first experience of actual trading and it was loads of fun.
We had a whirlwind trip round the park, taking on Pirates of the Caribbean, Pinocchio, Peter Pan and then Buzz. I won the T-shirt challenge again, scores this time were 151,000 for me and 29,500 for Denise.
Next it was on to Star Tours which Denise doesn't like that much but goes on for me as I'm a huuuuge Star Wars anorak! I took photos of all the posters and Denise decided to alter one - funny girl!
After seeing Honey I Shrunk The Audience (yes, got surpised again - can't remember by what but it's usually the bullet, Lion or Snake!) we went to our favourite lunching place Casey's Corner - the best hot dogs in the world were consumed and we were re-energised after a busy morning.
7 months after the trip and a few notes to go from and it all comes flooding back. As I write this I'm overcome by a mixture of gleeful nostalgia and excited thoughts of our trip in 5 months time - there really is nothing like Disneyland Resort Paris, oh how I love it.
Anyway, after lunch we were just in time to catch the Halloween Cavalcade which was great fun - interaction with the crowd was fab and I got given a Halloween sweet by one of the witches - yay!
It was at this point that we went into one of the shops and they had the hoody I wanted in medium - wahooo! It is the black zip up hoody with Mickey written on the back and the red and black M on the front left chest - you know the one!
Another visit to the Phantom Manor and then we sat down to watch Donald and the Bat Boys, followed by Stitch and the Steels. Fun shows and a nice addition to the Halloween Season which was by now our favourite of all and we were having the holiday of a lifetime.
We then watched the Halloween Parade for the 3rd day in a row - it's so good it can't really be missed! Before dinner we had a drink in Billy Bobs which had been decorated really well - cobwebs galore!
Then we dined in Cafe Mickey for the first time ever and wow, what a great place to eat. Characters walking around the whole time and an air of 'Disney' that you don't feel in any other restaurants even those with characters. We both had Pizzas with wacky toppings and shared a desert which was a collection of minature deserts - lovely. We met a ton of characters, all of them having plenty of time to stop for photos and to sign autographs. While Denise posed for most of the photos, I had to have one with the mouse himsef:
The two cutest ladies in Cafe Mickey:
After dinner I bought a top from the Rainforset Cafe and then we retired to the Red Garter Saloon for a few drinks before bed. We have to go home tomorrow, well our second home back in the UK, DLRP is home.
