Hi there! I searched and couldn’t find a 2024 thread but let me know if I missed one. I’ll be in the parks Aug 27-29 with 2 14 year old boys, one of whom has never been. We decided against OBB as neither boy was super excited so I figured I’d save the $500.

Talk to me about what else I should make sure not to miss? I’ve looked at this:

when do we typically know about special food?

They have pushed up the Halloween season at DL to Aug 23 (1st OBB the 25th), so presumably they will have the decorations changed over fully by the time you get there. From our Halloween season visits the things I'd say we enjoyed especially would be:

- Disneyland Main St decorations
- Carsland Halloween decorations (especially at night!)
- Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark (amped up version of the ride that changes over from standard version late afternoon during Halloween season).
- And best of all........ Haunted Mansion will be back! Will be virtual queue-only in the Nightmare Before Christmas version, but what could be better for Halloween season than getting back on the HM!

We decided to skip OBB this year too (and might be at the parks about the same time as you) so we could enjoy Halloween vibes without the October crowd insanity.
