Hi I'm a newbie. I'm trying to figure out when to go to wdw. We are pretty much between the middle of oct or the last week of nov.-dec. I'm concerended abt having warm enough weather for swiming in late nov. so we were thinking abt mid oct our only conceren w/ that is the halowwen decorations. Although we do trick-or-treating we don't do witches/wizard etc. Does any one know about when the halloween decoration go up and when they come down?? or any opion on the weather in late nov. Thanks
 p.s thanks for all the great info I've already learned w/o posting!!

The end of November is great because of the Christmas decorations. Either time should be great, the pools are heated! Enjoy your trip, and welcome to the board!

Halloween Disney is awesome! We went last year and had the best time! It's amazing how during the day, it's a normal Disney park, but at night (Mickeys not so scary halloween party) the park totally transforms into halloween! Ghost flying down main street on the buildings, Halloween music(disney of course) and the coolest fireworks show set to halloween music! Oh and the parade! Boo to You parade is sooo cool!!!

Holloween was great. But so are the Christmas Decorations. Flip a coin.

We have only gone at early October so I can only offer insight on that. We are also a family that does trick or treating, but are not crazy about the ghoulish/scary side of it for the kids. We have gone to Mickey's NOT SO SCARY Halloween party for the past 3 years and we are just HOOKED. You have nothing to worry about with the Halloween decorations at Disney. Most of it is pumpkins and hay stacks, etc. More of a hoe down type of feel than most anything. It's lots of fun and there are guidelines for the types of costumes people are allowed to wear in the park. We love it this time of the year bc the weather is perfect. You can still go to the waterparks, but it is not stifliing like in the summer. With that being said, we are debating going the first week in December, because we have never seen it at Christmas, so I can't really help you with that decision. Really, how bad can it be? I agree with the previous poster. Flip a coin. You'll be happy either way. :teeth:

Halloween time is fantastic and there is also the Food and Wine Festival to enjoy.

I have to vote for the end of Nov. That's the time that we always go. Right after Thanksgiving so that it's not that crowded. The Christmas decorations are up and you have MVMCP. We have also went to the water parks and swam in the resort pool. Christmas Wishes were amazing and it gets you in the mood for the holiday season!!!! JMO!!! :santa: pixiedust:

Unless you go to the halloween party at the MK, there really isn't any decorations to see. They put the decorations up after park hours and they only stay up during the parties.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is AWESOME! Our kids love it, we love it...that's when we are going!
