Halloween Party

My DS's teacher calls me last Friday afternoon to ask me if I would put on the class Halloween party. She sent volunteer requests out at the beginning of September and I'd replied that I'd help out as a Room Mother (we organize parties and stuff). I never heard back, so I assumed that she already had someone. Then this bombshell. So I've been running around trying to pull together a party for the kids. I'm not real happy. Everything in the stores has been very picked over and there's not much left.

I'm just a bit peeved and venting. I think it will come off OK, but I'm definitely getting busy on the Christmas party next week.

It came off well Kayllee, thanks for asking. I was in a rotten mood when I posted this message.

I'd asked all the parents to send in $2 dollars per child to help with the costs of the party. Five children didn't contribute, so I was left to make up the difference. Not very much money, but it's irritating.

I know what you mean Steph I alway's end up putting other people's contributions in Birthday Collections at work - very annoying!!
