We are going in October for 10 nights & I have already bought WDW tickets. THE MNSSHP :scared1: sounds like fun for our DD age 7 but DH is a bit loathe to pay extra money for WDW (we ended up buying 14 day UK tickets) so we could come & go as we please.

My question is - is it worth going to??

i think it is very worthwile, we had a great time ....so much so we are going again this year :)

MK is a very different place at halloween

We have been 3 times, worth every penny. depending which evening you go there could be no lines on the popular rides, we stayed on BTM, just went round and round no-one waiting. Family Photo included in price. Great fireworks display. Lots of free candy, although some is rubbish.
We are trying Pirates evening this August, dont think its as good as Halloween but will give it a go.

Out of all the extra ticketed events personally i would recommend the halloween one. The christmas party was not really anything special but we are also trying the Pirates and Princess party in Aug.

We went last year and loved it so much so we are going back this year..:wizard:

I dont know what dates they are this year (we are doing one at Disneyland CA. again)
Nearer to Halloween the busier, earlier in month usually quieter, also midweek if possible, weekends get busier.

It would be worth it to us if we did nothing other than watch the BOO to You Parade. It is our favorite of all of the parades. :) But there is loads of stuff to do. We are going once just the two of us, and then once with the whole family this year.

You have to go its something thats not to be missed. The parade, fireworks and character meets and the trick or treating. All of this plus if you go at the right time the rides will be a walk on.

To us, it's well worth the extra. We actually ended up going twice last year - had such a great time at the first party we went to, we promptly bought tickets to go again 2 days later :thumbsup2

Thanks everybody - we'll just have to go then!!

Just a couple of more questions if anyone is still looking - firstly shall we get DD a costume & secondly if you are already in MK do you have to come out & re-enter at 7 o'clock?

Thanks:thumbsup2

Many people dont dress up, we do, all 3 of us, its not just for kids.
I certainly enjoyed it a lot more dressed up.
I have my Pirate outfit almost ready for Pirates and Princess night.

Never been in MK the day of MNSSHP always done shopping that day then gone back to hotel after lunch to put outfits on. Into party for 4pm, which is the earliest you can enter.

This sounds so good, never been before but we have got tickets to go on the 21st Sept. I would say I cant wait but we go home on the 22nd Sept after 2 weeks of WDW fun, but it looks like it will be one hell of a send off.:)

Same for us over in Disneyland, go to Halloween party on the 26th Oct until midnight, probably 1am before we sleep, then we have to be at LAX airport at 6:30am. so about 4 hours sleep max.:scared1:

Hi - My sons and I attended MNSSHP last year on Halloween! We all dressed up - DS1 as Jack Skellington, DS2 as the Mayor and myself as Oogie Boogie. The lockers were free that evening and that was awesome because we were super hot after awhile - we took off the costumes and stashed them in the lockers.
Anyway, there was lots going on. Even though we found the trick or treat lines to be long, (and sometimes hard to find)they moved quickly and we got a lot of candy. What we found to be terrific was the lines for many of the rides were short!!! We were on Splash Mountain 3 times when fireworks were going on - what a memory.
I think if you have little ones, the experience will be different because they will want to trick or treat more and see the characters or hang in Fantasyland where the ride lines were longer.

The costumes were a blast! The attendees were for the most part in good spirits. What we did do is arrive a full hour ahead of time in our pre-determined parade watching spot, for the 2nd Boo To You Parade. We saw the Headless Horseman and the Grave Diggers. The Villians float was great. ;)
However, we bought snacks to eat while waiting and just people watching was fun!!!!

We had a great time-were some of the last to leave and although it did cost more, was truly worth it.
Would I do it every year - probably not, but I would do it again in a few years.
Just to note that family pictures are not included with tickets any longer.
Have fun!!

Thats a shame, we got a great family pic each visit.

We never had a problem with Trick or treat lines. Never more than 5 or 6 in front of us, many with no-one there. Probably nearer you get to Haloween the longer the lines.

Hi Guys & Gals,

I think I am getting confused or hope I am anyway but if you purchase a Disney 14 day Ultimate ticket do you then need to book and pay to go to the Boo to you parade? Also does this mean that the park closes for an amount of time too??

Sorry, planning on doing the MNSSP for both of the Fridays we are there thats all and friends of ours where there last year and never mentioned any of the possibility of buying additional tickets to go to the parade etc??

Thanks in advance

Nicci
