Halloween party ticket purchase question

I've already purchased & received our MNSSHP tickets for 8/29. Now DD23 just decided she may (or may not) join us. If she does, we will buy her ticket. How far in advance do you have to purchase to get the AP discount? Can it be the same day as the party if you do will call? I know they're not refundable, so I would like to wait as long as possible. Plus, she is not an AP holder. Can I even get the discount if I buy her ticket?

To get the AP or DVC discount, you must purchase at least 1 day in advance. The AP/DVC price is only about $3 or so less than the regular advance purchase price.

Be warned that MNSSHP dates can often sell out. I'd think a date that early would not be a major risk for a sell-out, but you never know. I'd try to make a decision sooner rather than later.
