Anyone that has seen it, is the parade at the Halloween Party in Disneyland worth it?

We are not typically parade people (kids don't do well in crowds), but being a special event they might like to see this one. Is the later parade less crowded? If so how early would we have to find a spot to watch? Is there any special seating areas if we are using a GAC (if so, where are they)?

I'm not sure there are any completely uncrowded locations to see the parade--last year we walked up shortly before the parade reached the area near It's a Small World and could see, but we were a group of 2 adults. So if your kids can't handle crowds or waiting at all, the parade may not be the best idea. (It could be a bit less crowded this year because last year was the first year they had the parade. But it could be more crowded because they may be letting more people in...who knows?)

But if you want to see *a* parade, it is probably a good chance to see a good but short one that isn't AS crowded. Maybe someone else can answer how early you'd HAVE to be to get a good spot. If you kind of want to see it, I think I'd try to be in the area maybe 15-20 minutes early and see if you can get a spot to see. If you do, great; if not, move on.

It's a cute enough parade; I enjoyed it. But the Halloween party just flies by, and there are only so many things you can do! It also has a very short loop of music, so you could easily get the song stuck in your head for the rest of your trip. In fact, I have the song in my head right now.

Can you children make to the second Cavalcade (starts at 10:30 pm)? That one had pretty low crowds; there seemed to be lots of places along Main Street that were only one person deep. We found a spot (by the start) where there was no one right as the parade started.

The fireworks are also really good. Zero flies (instead of Tinkerbell) and there is a neat Halloween theme to the show.

We didn't do any of the rides because we wanted to spend the party time at the party activities, but it sounds like the waits vary depending on the party. For us, the HM had a 30 minute wait (Friday party), but others have reported 5 minute waits.

This was my family's first time to Mickey's Halloween Party and I'd definitely go back!

Totally worth it!! We just got back from the party on the 3rd! It was amazing! We kinda missed all the parades (caught bits and pieces of both though) and it still was an amazing night!!
Definitely see the fireworks - they are super cool!

We came home with like 20lbs of candy - seriously, we gave much of it to hotel staff and anyone we ran into (couldn't possibly take it all on the plane!) and the kids loved that bit!
Ride lines were awesome, Peter Pan was the only one with a constant crowd and everything else seemed less than 10-20mins.

Met some characters, but didn't wait in the long lines for all.

It was a great night!

Nope, sorry not worth it in my opinion. We went to the Tuesday party 10/11 hoping it would be less crowded as dd has crowd issues. The party ended up selling out and the crowds were ridiculous.

The wait times on the rides were fairly short as most people wanted to focus on the party. That left everything other than the rides insanely crowded.

For a party that started at 6:00 you would think Disney would have more restaurants open. The crowd for the fireworks was worse than I have seen on a crowded July day.

Sorry if crowds are an issue I would say avoid this party.

I loved the party. But only do the party. Don't go to he parks that day. Your party ticket gets you in 3 hrs before he party starts. If you love characters, focus on them. If you love rides, do those with short waits. You can't do it all. The fireworks are crowded because it only shows once. But the 2 nd Parade is easy to see. Everything closes, even many shops after the 2nd parade so don't plan anything for after. If you want the special party pins, get them early. They only sell so many per night and they are gone by the time the fireworks start. B
