I am looking for some advice from DIS veterans.

We will be attending MNSSHP in a week and I have a couple of questions. We have been before when we just went for the party and got there at 4 pm. This year we will be at the MK all day trying to take advantage of the lower crowds on a short trip. We have a couple of questions:

1. Where and when can we pick up our wristbands? Is one location any less crowded than another? We do have MagicBands with our party tickets linked.

2. My wife will be lining up for Jack and Sally. What would be a good time for this?

3. When will the Halloween Party exclusive merchandise be available? We are looking for the Mickey pumpkin ornaments specifically.

Any help would be appreciated.

1. There are several spots throughout the park. Sometimes they are not in the same place as the year before. There is almost always a spot over by Buzz in Tomorrowland. Last year they had a spot set up in Fantasyland and we got ours there one night because there was no line and we just happened to be passing by (we went to 3 parties last year). They start passing out the wristbands around 4.

2. I've heard they have been coming out as early as 4:30 this year. Last year, I know they were out by 5. You have to have your wristband to get in the line. I would be in line right after you get your bands at 4.

3. Last year, it was out in a roped off area at the Emporium and if you had your wristband you could get it any time after 4. We got our stuff right at 4. This year, I have heard they will not let you purchase until 7. That could change at anytime (or even depending on the CMs), so I would stop by and check.

Have fun!!!

Thanks for the info. We will have fun.

This will be our first Halloween visit. I'm 51 and my DB is 46, is the trick or treating just for kids and would it be strange if we trick or treated, we are a couple of big kids always in line for character meet and greets and are excited to dress up and join the fun at Mickeys not so scary Halloween party. I have heard that you can get in at 4 pm but the tickets say the party starts at 7 should we arrive at 4 or later? We are going to the Oct. 27th Party.

2. My wife will be lining up for Jack and Sally. What would be a good time for this?

I went to the party on Monday. Jack and Sally came out at 5 p.m. I got in line at 4:30 p.m, and I met them around 6:25 p.m. I would recommend as soon as possible. Just be warned as well, the beginning of the line doesn't have the best shade. If it is as hot as it was this week, get water or do what you can to stay cool.

Based on reading previous posts from people and watching the Dis Unplugged, the closer to Halloween, the more crowded the party. Now, only Halloween has sold out so far, but I would plan on being there before 4. I arrived at the park at 3:40 p.m. and I was already able to get my wristband. I would seriously head straight for Jack and Sally or you will wait 3 hours for them during the party time.

Just to make sure there is no confusion or disappointment, just because these party specific meet and greets might begin before the party officially starts, and during the time the park is still open to you as a day guest, you will not be allowed to take part without a wristband/party ticket. Those entering early with a party ticket do however get to experience party specific activities as well as all attractions open to day guests before the party starts.

The Halloween party is our favorite! So excited for you; you are going to have a blast! You can get into the park at 4 the day of the party. The party officially starts at 7; coming in at 4 is just a bonus in case you want to do anything before the party starts. We like to go in and have dinner before the party starts. As for trick or treating and all the other activities, they are all fine for kids of every age! One quick note: there is so much to do, you may want to have a plan going in to make sure you get to all of your must dos!

Have fun!!

Thank you for the update, I was wondering how that worked with all the day quest still in the park. We purchased our MNSSHP tickets as soon as they became available over the phone with a cast member, I have heard that they sell out quickly. Once we arrive will we get a wrist band at the gate once we give them our tickets?

Thanks so much we will be early birds then and head right there, I am new to DIS Boards, everyone has been so helpful it is greatly appreciated.

We were there this past Sunday. We allowed extra time to get there so we arrived around 3:30 or so. We were let through security, got our wrist bands as we went through, and they let us in around 3:45. After you walk through the check in line, there will be people putting the wristbands on. Go past the first ones; they will have a line. By the time we bypassed the first CMs, then the 2nd set, the 3rd row had no one getting bands. We walked right up and got ours.

If your in the park already, when cms start asking everyone to leave just ask them where to get the band and they will point you to the closest spot.

They are using the bypass between tony's and the hub better. There is some statues (halloween themed), rich house candy and photopass photographers out. i'm not sure it would be worth going all the way to front if your all the way in the back but if you find yourself near the hub at party start time, it's worth walking down mainstreet and back through the bypass.

it had over an hour long line when I did mnsshp this year so the sooner the better.

It's in 2 locations this year. First is in the back at the big top store by dumbo. Second is the shop on the corner in tomorrowland across from buzz, next to stitch. the second is also a trick or treat line so just get some candy and stick around :) Grab a party map when you get the wrist band (or ask the different trick or treat cms, they carry them). It has exactly where you can buy it along with some special only available at the party treats you can also purchase.. (the candy corn ice cream was great).
