Halloween overlay California adventure

I read an article that said they were adding Halloween overlay to radiator springs racers and guardians ride. Does that mean rides would be closed for an extended period of time? We will be there sept 10-12 and I'm nervous about both those rides being down because I've been telling husband how great they are. Does anyone know anything?

That MiceChat article was about a rumored overlay. Nothing has been confirmed or announced by Disney. No one knows anything, but Radiator Springs Racers would probably have to close for some period of time to receive the overlay. How extensive the overlays would be would dictate how long the closures would be.

The Guardians ride might not have to close for too long, if at all, I would think. It depends on what the overlay entails.

Edited to add: The Halloween Time season might already be in effect by the time of your trip, so IF those overlays are happening they might be in place when you get there.
