Sorry for all the questions after not being on the DLP bit for so long! :flower3:

Quick question - will it be ok for my children to be dressed up in Disney Halloween costumes during the day of 31st Oct? I am presuming that as they are young, there won't be an issue with this - it's like dressing as a Princess!

I've got a gorgeous Minnie Mouse witch costume for DD2 (6), and a Sally costume for DD1 (9). So neither are gory or anything....

I have decided against the Halloween party tickets thanks to advice on here, so the afternoon will be our 'Halloween' festivities!

Thanks for any advice :).

yes, thats absolutely fine :thumbsup2 - my DD loved dressing up at DLP in Halloween season too.

Thanks Elaine :goodvibes

That is good to know! At least I have an excuse not to dress up! :rotfl2:

As I understand it, Disney costumes are fine as long as, the person(s) face are not covered. :thumbsup2

Kids are always allowed into the parks in princess dresses and boys in pirates or space ranger etc. It is halloween that is special when adults are also allowed in during the party in costume.

Have a great time.

What if the costumes are not Disney-related? We also opted against the party because we are staying in Paris and don't want to have to head back late at night, and because we have a little one who would tired out by 10pm anyway.

We were planning to spend the day at DLP and the kids would like to wear their costumes. DD is a Doctor Who character, DS is a Pokemon and other DS is Luigi from Super Mario. Would they be able to enter the park in these? I would assume that since many people with day tickets will also have party tickets and will be arriving before the party entrance time starting at 5.

Thoughts?

its fine :) - kids can wear whatever costume they like at DLP, it doesn't have to be Disney.

Can I ask another costume question?

How many people dress up for the party night itself?
ie - will I stand out like a sore thumb if I decide not to dress up?

The whole family are off to the Halloween party for the first time this year.
My wife and three daughters are all dressing up, but I'm not sure.
Im a big bloke and finiding a costume to fit might be quite pricey...

Have you seen the Disney Village Halloween promo video, lots going on in the village for the whole season but even more on Halloween night itself :)

Where did you find a Sally costume? My eldest is 10 in November and has asked for one for Halloween!

I ordered it from the US. It's not here yet but should be soon as I gave plenty of time. It's a tween one so will be a better fit for her. I think it looks much nicer than the UK adult ones. She's 9 but in 10-11 clothes.

My little DDs Minnie costume came. It's gorgeous. So cute with Minnie ears on the witches hat!

I'm really hoping the SQL might let us use a courtesy room to get changed when we arrive as our room won't be ready. Think I might email them to ask. I could get them dressed in the toilets but I want to do face paint too so it's not ideal!

DLPDreams, did you see that there is also a Halloween Party at the Village?

We figured we would hit rope drop on Halloween, then leave as the party crowds start to arrive. We might do some of the shows/storytelling events in the Village and then head back to Paris. It looks like a lot of it is for young adults (dance parties, etc) but it looks like at around 6pm there is some kid-friendly storytelling. Might be a good option to continue the Halloween fun while avoiding the party.

Thank you - I did see that. We have a park closing reservation at Cafe Mickey so not sure how much we'll actually see, but perhaps a bit on our way (we are hoping to catch Dreams at park close before that). I would imagine it will be very busy as not everyone will be off to the party! But if you are in the vicinity, it's worth having a look!
