I am really excited that my cruise next year will be Halloween on the high seas. This is going to be out first DCL cruise on the Magic. has anyone ever felt that the halloween theme/stuff takes away from the experience of the cruise? Are normal event exchanged for halloween ones that we may miss?

What is your favorite thing to do on the halloween cruise?

The Halloween cruise only adds elements, nothing is taken away. In fact, I think it would be possible to ignore all the Halloween elements except for a few of the decoration items in the atrium. My favorite event is the adult costume contest – some people are so creative!

Actually - one thing that you'll find (or at least we did) lessened is the in room movies. They reduce the selection of new release movies and instead add in more "classic" Halloween movies. We like to watch movies in the room at night and this did impact us because there wasn't enough new movies for us to watch a different one each day.

Lot's of nice Halloween decorations, the pumpkin tree, Vampire Mickey is awesome, I love the Nightmare Before Christmas sing along and meet with Jack and Sally. It's all a lot of fun.

We have now done more Halloween cruises than "normal" cruises, so we obviously love them. Trick or treating on the ship is fun, and we love the decorations down to the cute description cards of the buffet items.

Agree with everyone else. The Halloween theme just adds to the magic. Don't miss the adult costume contest. That was the best!
