Halloween on the High Seas--any tips?

Other than "pack a costume if you want to dress up for dinner"...anything else I should know?

Keep an eye on the Navigator, there is a specific day and night devoted to Halloween related activities, movies, menus, costume contests (kids, family and adult), etc. NBC is played in 3D at the WD Theater. Usually takes place mid-week on the 7-nighters

Jack Skellington and/or Sally will usually be available at the end of the movie for a meet and greet. We found the 'trick or treating' to be well below expectations in 2014.

Is it only in 3D? If so, maybe I can catch it on the TV in the room not in 3D.... I loooove NBC but my toddler isn't going to sit through a 3D movie.

We started trick or treating (by accident actually) as soon as it started and it wasn't very crowded. The later it got, the more people there were.

For that costume - keep in mind that what you're planning to wear at home on Halloween may be way too warm for the ship. Planning to dress your kid as a fleece monster/minion/pumpkin/etc? Yeah - think again. Put your kid in fleece on the ship and let the meltdown begin!

How long is your cruise? Is it also a one of the Marvel cruises?

Typically, Halloween and Pirate night are on different days, except for 3 night cruises.

7 nights but yes it's also a Marvel which I guess is the reason for the double up. It helps for people who can't have much luggage though as they can go pirate for both.

I am on the 10/14/17 and I saw pirate night listed on the activities but didn't see anything about what day Halloween on the High Seas was happening or Marvel for that matter. Did you call to find out? I can wear part of my Halloween costume for my pirate costume but other parts would be different (different themed costumes)

Not sure, but they may have additional 2D showings in the Buena Vista theater!

I am on the 10/14/17 and I saw pirate night listed on the activities but didn't see anything about what day Halloween on the High Seas was happening or Marvel for that matter. Did you call to find out? I can wear part of my Halloween costume for my pirate costume but other parts would be different (different themed costumes)

We're on the 10/14 (can't wait!!). Pirate night and Halloween are the same day. Halloween party for kids will be at 2:30 and 4:30 pm, pirate night activities at 7:30, and adult Halloween party at 11.

Fireworks are currently scheduled for immediately after the deck party, so between main and late dining. (If you're on that other social media site, we've got a great group of newbies and veterans - honestly, I think I'm going to miss everyone when the cruise is over!)

Our first cruise was a 5-night on the Wonder out of Miami. Fireworks were between dining times on that one. It's great for the smaller kids - my son has a tough time staying up to see them when they're later.

One of the members of our FB group got the info from Shoreside Concierge. Others confirmed it with their TA.

Yes that's my sail date. I believe it's posted now online but someone in my group is concierge and were sent a list. I'm not thrilled with it as I think one could have been done on the first sea day but I know it will all be fun anyway.

When we sail out of Miami in Winter months, the fireworks always seem to be between the dinners. I like it better when we have the grandkids with us. 10:00/10:30 is late for my granddaughter she's an early bird
