Is there anything special going on in the parks Halloween night? I don't want our 2 DSs missing out on trick or treat. Any info would be great :sunny:

Only MK and it's extra money. They have "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween" party on select nights in October and Halloween night. It's from 7 to Midnight. There's a free photo and plenty of Trick or Treating and a special Halloween parade.

If you don't want to pay extra, then you can hope that your resort is doing something and also Boardwalk and possibly DTD is doing something.

Yes there is Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party going on at the Magic Kingdom. Here's some more info on the party: http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/halloween.htm

But I never get our tickets for Halloween night. We love Halloween and the dressing up part of it so we like to stretch it out a bit! We go to MNSSHP before Halloween night, then on Halloween night we've gone Trick or Treating at MKTPL at DTD.The Boardwalk has had some activities going on in the past such as pumpkin carving and character appearances.

hi, we have also been looking for other things to do on halloween night, have looked in abreviations but cant find mktpl sorrry but can you please tell me what this means as we love dtd and this sounds fun susie

Susie, MKTPL is Marketplace at Downtown Disney - we did Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party last fall. We went on the 30th and had a blast!!! We intentionally avoided Halloween night because we were told it would sell out. Of course, so did the 30th - the crowds were not that bad. The longest wait was for the free picture and perhaps at the Haunted Mansion but even then, they really were not bad. Would highly recommend MNSSHP for any and all - it was a real treat and DSs (10 and 8) both enjoyed themselves (DW and I were beside ourselves!)

On Halloween night, we went to the Boardwalk where there was a special Halloween celebration on the Village Green. They ahd a DJ, the kids were dancing, there were a number of activity tables set up for the kdis including a cookie decorating area. Mickey was there for photos and there was trick or treating on the Boardwalk. It was one of the best times we've ever had at WDW!Mickey at Halloween

We did MNSSHP on Halloween night this past Halloween. When I told DS (10) that we were going to Disney for Halloween-- his first response was very disappointed. He didn't want to miss trick-or-treating at home w/ his friends. Needless to say in time I convinced him MNSSHP would be even better. It was okay at best. I would love to give it another chance at the beginning of the month. It was sold out, and soooo crowded. I have gone Easter week and the crowds were comparable!!! The trick-or-treat lines moved at a decent pace but there was close to 150-200 people in each (if not more) sometimes you had to backtrack 500 steps to find the end of the line. It was wall-to-wall people until close to 11pm. You couldn't move in toontown so we skipped it. Cinderella's Coach had a line of about 100 people for pics. And the rarer characters were a good 30 minutes to see. Needless to say, I think the party would be a lot better on a non-sold out night. I know Disney doesn't release just how many tickets they sell for this party. I honestly, think it's close to the shut the park down number!! It is the busiest I have ever seen the MK.
