ok we fly into cdg at 7pm on the 31st oct staying in the explorer before moving on to the new york nxt morning. My question is would you buy tickets fot the haloween party on the 31st think it starts at 8.30pm. We have never been at haloween time before so would love to get some of it in. The girls will be 6+5. Or am i mad to consider it too much rushing ect. Havnt really thought it true fully yet but the other option is fly in sun nite and spend 2 nights in the explorer and just buy park passes for 31st and spend the day in the park instead of the halloween party. what would you do?? going to book the flights this week.

Personally, just because I LOVE Halloween (especially at DLP), I would buy ticket for the MNSSHP in the evening just so that I could be a part of it... The event itself looks like so much fun and something for everyone to enjoy.

But you will just need to consider how tired you all will be. If you think that it will be too much for the girls, then I would leave it. If you think they can handle the long day - go for it! Either way, they'll love it because they're in Disney!!! :thumbsup2

okay, only going on how my daughter would cope with this at age 6 - she just wouldn't I'm afraid. She managed MNSSHP fine last year, but she was 9, and even some bits of that freaked her out a bit (but then she is a bit of a wuss). Its a very long night and by around 10.30pm she was really flagging. From what I've seen of the Halloween party itself on 31st October, its much more suited to older kids and adults (scarier theming than MNSSHP and the general theme/shows in the park during the day).

Does the Halloween theme in the park stop on 31st October? If it does and you want to see it, then if cost isn't too prohibitive I'd do the extra night beforehand and see Halloween during the day.

I agree with DLPdaft. I too would say, if poss, book another night, and go to the Park during the day to see Halloween.

We have been for Halloween for the last 4yrs and have done MNSSHP and loved it. But I don't think my 2 girls would be too keen on Halloween Night, it seems more adult themed. But they (and us) love the themeing in the Parks themselves :)
