Saw this on the parks blog this morning:

Perfect timing - I needed to book our girls in for their makeover for our MHP on October 7th. Managed to get them both booked for 3:40pm. They were going to go as Ariel and Mulan but both loved the idea of Halloween Minnie. It's a little pricey - $140 each - but that includes costume and all the usual add ons (no photos or shortcut to Princesses though).

I posted the link to that Parks Blog in the Superthread yesterday, and someone wondered how much it cost. I said it was probably a "bargain" price of $350 or something. :lmao:

Question - how strict are they on the 3 yrs old? I've got a 2 1/2 yr old... now I doubt I'd do it anyways, cause she doesn't like having her hair done, but I was just curious...

If you ask them (or likely most people in here), they'll be strict on the 3 year old restriction.

Yeah, I don't think she'd sit through it anyways. We'll wait till next trip : )

The current rule is they will allow under 3, but if they won't sit through it, you still pay. And you can't force the child.

Good to know.... mine probably would have trouble, but my best friend's daughter at 2 1/2 would have totally sat through it, she loves make overs ;) So I'm glad they allow for that..

This is a "Castle" package, so it is $210 and includes the costume and everything.

Very strict.
It's not only a sitting still thing but the products used are age rated also (3+)

Interesting. First I've heard that they are willing to take an under 3.

That is adorable! Post pictures! We did the Minnie Halloween package 2 years ago at WDW, and at that point it was significantly cheaper than the castle package (I was thrilled because DD changed to that one when we got there and it saved me money!). The castle package is $195 I think. $140 is still cheaper, but I think it was only $120 when we did it, so it looks like it has gone up. This years dress looks a little fancier than the one they had when DD did it, so maybe that is the reason. I love the cape!

As far as a 2 year old, we saw a little girl that definitely looked 2 and not 3 getting the makeover done, and we also watched 2 different CMs ask her how old she was twice before they started on her. She either really was 3, or had clearly been coached to claim she was 3. I suspect if she had said 2, they might have said she could not have had the makeover, and then it would not have been pretty since she was already there and in the chair.

I just booked this for Oct 10th! It's $139.95. My DH says I'm wasting money, but we are there to celebrate her 5th birthday so I okay with that, lol. I can't wait to see the results!! I'm glad I saw this post, hehehe. :)

We were able to do a princess makeover on my DD when she was 2. They didn't ask her age IIRC.

I'll be sure to post some pics, 3 weeks to go! They are going to look so cute dressed the same. I managed to get away with only one getting a makeover last year, DD6 is the princess so she was all about BBB but DD9 not so much, and we wound up getting a Pirate makeover done at Big Thunder Ranch. Sadly they aren't doing it this year, so it's double for BBB...

One thing I will say is the dresses are excellent quality, almost worth the price, definitely better than the el cheapo ones at Target etc. Plus it has been a highlight of each visit, the girls absolutely love the attention!
