Now that Halloween is over...I can now focus on my favorite holiday which is Christmas.

I've never been to Disneyworld at Christmas time since my job doesn't allow it.

But I sure love to see pictures of the parks during that time of year.

I wish I had bought the x-mas DVD I have seen in Downtown Disney. (Can I buy it online?)

When do you make your trees?

I'm trying to restrain myself and not do it right now hehehe

Anywayz... Can you post pictures of the parks and resorts at christmas time to cheer me up? I've been having a hard beginning of November.

don't sweat the christmas dvd. It's not very good. Try to catch the WDW christmas shows the travel channel and food channel both do. those are great.

I unfortunetly don't have these channels :)

Thanks though.. I won't be wasting money on the DVD. I'll wait for ABC to air the parade. :happytv:

There is a long thread which has pictures of Christmas at Disney. Look here in theme park strategies. It should be in the 1st couple of pages. I think its titled pictures galore, mvmcp..... something like that.

I have been to Disney at Christmas....truly, it did not have that Christmasy feel and I don't plan to ever go back for Christmas. The Disney cruise was fun, though.

I would gladly share pictures, but at that time, I did not own a digital camera, only 35MM. :(

I too love Christmas...and I am already taking things from the closet. We put up...are you ready for this??...
One 7.5 foot tree (I put my Kincaid Ornaments on this Tree)
Three 2.5 foot trees, (a soccer tree for hubby, disney/character tree for daughter and a tree with all of my hand-painted ornaments on it)
One 2.75 foot Fiber Optic Tree
One 4 foot tree decorated in only red and green
A Christmas village, most of which I hand-painted
3 different styles of Nativity scenes
and quite a few other random decorations through-out the house.

The plan is usually to start Thanksgiving evening, but seeing how we will have company, I will be putting my decrations up starting this weekend. We do not observe Halloween and I don't really "decorate" for Thanksgiving, so now is a great time. :goodvibes: :thumbsup2

I've posted some of these before, but here are some shots of our living room and great room at Christmastime.
(We have our Christmas tree in our great-room, and WDW in the living room).
Most of the "rides" are bought at WDW, Disneyland and DCA, but I built a "Splash Mountain" and a "Fantasmic!" (both with moving water effects). Plus added a few extra touches I thought worked with the theme that I found at other stores.

Believe it or not, we have most of the great room decorations up NOW...
and will be starting on the "WDW" in the living room this weekend.

BECAUSE:

A. It takes a long time to set it up.
B. We'll be in WDW for 11 days starting Nov. 29th and we want to come back home to a Christmas-decorated house!

Your Fanstasmic is amazing! That is quite a display.

Wow!! You have quite a collection!! I usually start decorating right after Halloween. I can't this year though. We have been in a major remodel and things aren't finished yet. :sad2: (it's almost done :thumbsup2 ) But NOTHING can keep me from my trip in 24 days!! :woohoo:

Wow Robo...I want to come to your house for Christmas! We will be at the world from 12-1 to 12-6.......have a great trip!

Robo your right on track with Disney in reguards to setting up .

We just returned and they have most of the Osbourne lights up at MGM.

Your display is always enjoyed when you post your Pics.

We picked up a new NBC snowglobe for DD's train garden .Can't wait to get it.

We haven't been to WDW at Christmas in the 'digital camera age' (last time was 2000; yes they were available but not commonplace). We'll be at DW for Christmas and NYE this year, so we'll have many, many pictures to share from that trip! We were at DL 2 years ago at Christmastime, so I posted those pictures for those that haven't seen DL.
