We’ll be in WDW and UOR on Halloween Day but we don’t have Boo Bash tix. Any ideas what we can do that day to celebrate?

I think most of the resorts do something, or they used to. Maybe see if your resort has any plans.

In the past, Fort Wilderness was a great place to visit. Many of the campers created over the top decorations at their campsite. However, I don't know if the tradition has continued or if guests from other resorts can even go there to enjoy the displays now.

Disney Springs can be a good choice on Halloween. They have lots of fall photo ops, live music and you can purchase special Halloween treats.

Lastly, check the movie schedule for your resort. Chances are good that there will be Halloween-themed Disney movies playing.

I'm curious about this, too. Our 11 year old is a little sad about missing out on Halloween in our hometown, which is an epic event.

We are in the same situation this year. We did do disney last Halloween and even without the party my son was super happy. I snuck back to our room and decorated the room with his favorite candy etc. Just being in the parks was fun there were decorations and last year everyone could dress up not sure what the rules are this year but it was fun many people were in costume. Our hometown does cool things for halloween too my hubby always goes all out lol. So I was worried my son wouldn't be happy but he was, and here we are going again this year lol He is 10 and super excited

Rent a golf cart and trick or treat at the campsites at the fort. You won’t be disappointed.

Where are you staying? Halloween is our favorite time to go, we stay at YC/BC and they always have trick-or-treating, games and characters out on Halloween around the lake (YC/BC and Boardwalk).

great idea, but they do not allow non-resort guests to participate in FW trick or treating - although you can still visit to look at the decorations - which is what we love to do.

Reason was too many outside families were coming in to do the trick or treating and crowding out the child guests actually staying there. So WDW changed the rule.

You may be able to take WDW transportation to FW, but as @shh mentions, they've been strict the past few years about outsiders coming in by car. Also I believe golf cart reservations are limited to FW guests only, though day-of rentals may be available on a first-come first-served basis.

Do you know if they are doing it this year? We are staying at Beach Club and have been wondering what to do with our 6 and 4 year old. I called today but couldn't get an answer about whether anything was planned by the resort this year.

Did you ever find out more information about this? I have been trying to figure out what to do with my 4 and 6 year old. When I have called the resort they haven't been able to give me any information.
