As I return from my 3rd trip to WDW, I can say I am extremely pleased! I had an amazing time (because really, who could have an awful time at Disney world?) There was one minor, tiny flaw -- I went for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and was expecting a load of candy, and I could say I was a little dissapointed. There were not many candy stations, and I barely got any candy. In fact, I would get more in my own neighborhood. It felt like a normal day at a park, rather than a party. I don't know if I just passed by the candy stations or couldn't find any, but the party was not what I expected. I will most likely be coming back for the Christmas party next year-- anything I should or should not look for/expect? :)

The Christmas party will likely only have cookies and hot chocolate and a few special treats you can buy. It's really all about characters and special parades and shows.

There a good thread with lots of details on the Themeparks forum.

the candy stations are also kind of dependent on the time you hit them too. If you get down for the Halloween party again try running through the line right before park close. When we've done that the last few years the cast members stopped us and filled up my backpack, my wife's purse, and all our trick or treat bags.

Wow that's awesome! We went around 10:00 pm and only hit about 3 stations. I guess it really is dependent on time. Thanks!

Oh I see. I'm kind of new to this so I don't know the appropriate threads hahaha. Thank you :))

You may have missed some stations. There is one that runs from Fantasyland (by Goofy's) to Space Mountain. There are 3-4 stations in that line alone but it can hard to find the entrance if you don't know what you are looking for. Some of them are a little hidden if you don't look on the map.

Two week ago at DL and last year at MK I was greedy and got too MUCH candy and ended up throwing at least half out. If I go to a Halloween party again I'm going to limit my trick-or-treating.

I saw candy stations everywhere. We stopped at the one in Fantasyland and there were two there at one stop then we went on the candy trail to tomorrow land and there were 3-4 stations there. We spent about 10 minted trick or treating and got 4 bags full, we are still eating it a week later. We did not bother stopping at the other locations because we had to take it all home.

I went on November 1. Candy wasn't my priority, but I did several stations and got a handful at each location. I saw a guy and his friends at the end of the night heading out of Fantasyland with a HUGE bag of candy (i'm talking Disney's biggest retail bag (kind you get when you buy something) filled with candy (the size of a pillowcase, stuffed full). His friends (at least 3) all had bags a bit smaller than his and all were completely full. I pointed them out to DH since it was really a huge amount of candy between them. I guess they went through the lines lots of times and then also hit them at the end of the night. So the opportunity was there if you chose to spend your time collecting. We didn't wait in any lines each time we went through a line. I chose to spend my time riding rides (7D three times in a row with no wait before closing), watching parade, hallowishes, fireworks and the stage show. We had a great time.
