Halloween horror nights

I'm not going this year, unfortunately, but will go in 2016. I usually don't do daytime Universal when I do go but in 2016 I'm going to combine both and stay onsite. Really looking forward to planning that trip! I will buy the ticket for more than one night and go maybe 4 or 5 nights! It will be crazy!

i do that for hhn every year.
stay onsite and go in the day and stay for hhn.

you will love staying onsite and hitting everything during your stay.
make it a marathon time and do the parks around noontime, stay when the parks close in the holding area and begin hhn before the park officially opens.

great thing is you are on site and can easily use the water taxi or walk back to your hotel room.
the hhn pass for admission (and some include the express pass) is money well spent when you go multiple nights.
i hit 6 nights last year for it.

have fun planning for 2016!

Wow! Super exciting! I've been at disney the last two times I've been, so staying onsite and going multiple nights will be great! Thanks for all your suggestions! What resort do u favor?

i favor rpr.

it's a short walk to city walk where i can spend some evening time when the parks are closed.
it has 4 eateries onsite that have early and late hours.
pools are a tad quieter since no slides in the pools.
i love the large lobby for the many places i can sit where it is quiet.
and, quite enjoy the set up for the king suites i always book.
lots of space for me going solo.

I have a question if I may.
Do they limit the amount of EPs they sell for any given night? We have bought the AP and get the free HHN ticket - but won't be able to redeem that until we get in country 2 days before we plan to go. Our dilema is whether to hold off and buy the EPs when we collect our HHN ticket, or to buy the EP's in advance and gamble that we will be able to go on the night that we want to - assuming that that night isn't sold out.

the free hhn with the premier ap is for any non peak night.
don't know your dates but there have been some sell out nights for hhn in the past years.
it's not common but has happened on a few nights over the years.

ep's can sell out also on certain nights.

once the hhn 15 site goes live, send guest services a question about if you may be going during a sell out night.
that's my only suggestion.

I think it's great that u are traveling over the big blue ocean to join us for hhn.....mcraven had a good suggestion. I usually buy express pass for one night....get in all the houses and save rides, shows and repeat houses for other nights! Have a blast! Oh...love your costumes!

Hey....going to take shower and watch rest of movie...one hour...go outside

The last time we did HHN was in 2009 and still say to this day that it was one of the best nights we have ever had. This trip will be our 25th anniversary and HHN was top of our 'to-do' list and we really want it to be as good this time around.

Thanks for the advice. I will keep a close eye on the release dates.

and if you have a day park ticket, go to the holding area/stay and scream instead of leaving the park.
saves you from going thru the metal detectors and long lines outside the age (which usually begins around 5:00)

get that head start on two of the houses before the general public is let in...

like ThistleMae stated, buy ep for the first night and repeat houses/shows in stand by later in the night.
if you go two nights to hhn, do ep for the first night and your second night hit the houses you enjoyed the most in the standby lines.

i do multipe nights so i can catch team A and team B in the houses and scare zones.
i try to avoid going into the houses during the switching of the teams period.
it can take a bit of time for each team of scareactors to get in place.

I'm working on a Tattoo design....thinking Jack Skeleton with hidden Mickies! I'm having fun with it. It's both Disney and Horror. Just wanted to represent my favorite things!

You are quite knowledgable!! I plan on using our HHN free voucher for a non-peak night first week in October. Can I buy the EP separate from this, before we get there? I think we have to wait until we are physically there to get the tickets in exchange of the coupon/voucher. I just don't want to risk losing out on the EP!

yes, just redeem the voucher for any non peak night at guest services.
all wednesdays are included this year for hhn, which is something new.
in past years, wednesdays started in mid october.

you'll have a choice of wed, thurs, sunday for non peak nights.

that is if they keep to the schedule they have been going with for the past years.
i see no reason why not to.

i'm thinking that the early wednesday events won't be so crowded.

you can buy the eps for that night at guest services or in the stores in the park.
possible to buy the also at the hotel??
not sure as i have not done it that way before.

anyone can buy the ep's on the website in advance when it goes live.
it is a separate ticket from the hhn ticket.
make sure you know your planned dates as it is date related.

when the hhn site goes live, you can sent an email to guest services for any questions you have about buying hhn tickets in advance if you have a particular question.
kiosk pickup will work fine for it.

no discounts on the ep's.

my first hhn was back in 1999.
haven't missed a year yet.

I knew you'd know the answer! Halloween is my favorite holiday. Can't wait! Thanks so much!

My son, my husband and I are flying from NY on Sept 18, and want to go on the 19 (Saturday). We are booked in the new Cabana Bay. We have never been to Horror Nights, but I know we got front of the line for staying at their resorts in the past. Do we get front of the line (express pass) for Horror Nights? Or do we need to pay extra for that?

Just realized that Cabana Bay does not include front of the line, so switching reservation to Royal Pacific, (where we have always stayed in the past). But still want to know if you get express pass for Horror night when staying on property

No.

Hotel EP is not valid for HHN. Have to purchase a separate one.

I think we will go on both Sept 18 and Sept 19 and not pay for express pass. This way we get 2 nights for almost the cost of one night with express pass.

But...you won't have express pass? I wouldn't go without at least one night of an express pass. Just saying....
