1st timer to Disney & Universal here. Going during the last week in September and I have children that vary in age by 8 years. Therefore...Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is perfect for the little one (age 8) but not so cool for the 16 year old. I have seen that the 1st Mickey Halloween party will be on the 29th of September. So I was wondering if anyone recalls from last year if Universal hosted the Halloween Horror Nights in September at all. And if they did, please tell me it was on a night other than Friday.....LOL

Thanks,
Missy

Most probably the only September dates for HHN will be the 29th and 30th (Friday and Saturday).

According to another "poster or is that postee" MNSSHP is going to be as early as 9/15 this year! Going on the 3 years that we have gone the first HHN should be 9/29 but it could be earlier,BG Howl'o'Scream could possibly be the weekend before that (9/21) which is also worth going to if you are down that neck of the woods. As far as your 8 y/old,our DS was 6 on his first one & the extras/CMs absolutely terrorized him but he loved it!!

I am 99.9% positive that HOS will not be going on the weekend of 9/21 and that the weekend of 9/29 and 9/30 will be the opening weekend of this year's event.

What are the hours of the HOS? We are leaving late on the evening of the 30th, so we may be able to work it out for that evening before we leave.

Thanks, :grouphug:

What are the hours of the HOS? I'm hoping we can catch it before we leave on the 30th. We're probably leaving around 11 that night.

Thanks Slacking but that has scuppered our plans! When we went to HHN 13 BG had started the weekend before so we managed to do both also BG was Thurs,Fri,Sat that year. The hours were 7:00pm-2:00am & on that particular year we had Stayed to scream in which when purchased we (& a whole load of others) were told that we could stay after park closing but all of a sudden the CMs were trying to get us all to leave! Only thru weight of numbers & the number of complaints did we end up being allowed to stay in ,after all it's not like there is any where else to wait! So hopefully they sorted that problem out

Yeah, also back in 2004 (The Year of HHN 14, I believe), HOS had their preview weekend the year before (this was the weekend that Hurricane Francis came through. I was at HOS that night, and remembered it was before HHN opened.) Looking at BGT's hours of operating and knowing that there will be 16 nights of HOS this year, I figured out that the first weekend will be the 29th/30th.

As for HOS' hours, it opens at 7:30 and during the first weekend will close at 12am (this is based on past years.)

Going to be keeping a close eye on the BG site as we are going a bit earlier than normal so the first weekend is our last on holiday & we are already looking at doing HHN on 9/30 but as we have BG penciled in on 9/28 it would be handy if they start on the Thurs! Think doing HOS & HHN back to back would be too much!
